What minor laws would you introduce?

If you were put in charge of Everything for a few weeks, what minor laws would you introduce? I'm thinking things that would be really easy to implement, and would make people's lives easier.

I would make it the law that manufacturers of electronic devices had to indicate on the outside of the product which batteries it needs (type and how many). I'm fed up of having to take the battery cover off, check what's in there, and then either put the cover back on (fiddling with a tiny screwdriver), or leave it off somewhere (to inevitably lose it) until I can get new batteries for the thing.

While they're at it, they can make the cover permanently attached to the device so it doesn't get lost. But not attached in a way that makes it impossible to reach the batteries.

Bring back dog licences.

People should have to maintain the front areas of their houses, whether garden or whatever. There's a house near me that has a garden full of rubbish and she even dumps stuff on the land adjacent to her house, including an old mattress 😠 some other people are cultivating three foot high weeds and another has a pile of rotting pallets in theirs, complete with plastic windmill stuck on top It just looks scruffy and horrible.

Immediate ban of Mrs Brown’s Boys

Incarceration for people who do not use their indicators but presume you'll know what manoeuvre they will be making through telepathy.

I agree, keep your front gardens tidy but wildlife friendly.

No naked male torsos in public (sorry dbrother but it really isn't necessary)

All dogs on leads unless in designated fields funded by owners.

All teenagers to do 25 hours of community service each year.

Only one holiday involving flights every three years - massive benefit to the environment.

No parking against the flow of the traffic.

Car over-revving to be punishable by a lifelong driving ban.

With festival season approaching.. ban people who sit on their boyfriends shoulders at gigs. Also people who talk through the band.

All dogs except official assistance dogs banned from indoor public places, and to be kept on a short lead at all times in public.

No children in pubs.

Ban on sunbeds.

Free university for those who pledge 10 years service to the NHS. Any that leave before then have to pay for the full cost.

Anyone who drops litter or bags of dog poo gets a nasty electric shock.

Also..are you sensing a theme here... people who video the whole gig. The odd song, fair enough, but the whole bloody thing so the people behind you are watching through a screen? Sod off.

Potential MPs have to do at least a year working in either education or the NHS, preferably while living in social housing.

Apart from the children in pubs one (I would vary that to be "only well-behaved chiildren in pubs"), I would back all of these :)

I read here I think that dog owners in Spain have to carry water for rinsing poo residue off after they pick it up. Hmmm, now I write that down it seems unlikely 😀

Yes to dog licensing and keeping the fronts of houses tidy. I would also ban the family down the road who sit in their scruffy front yard drinking beer, knocking £kkks of the value of my home.
No transit vans would be allowed to be parked on roadsides, unless a tradespeople is actually inside the house working.
I hate pavement facing fence paneling. A wicker fence, metal fence, brick wall or hedge would be acceptable.
As for the naked male upper torso, it really does depend on the naked male in question as to whether or not he should be shirtless!

Nurses and carer no longer pay tax.

Shortfall made up by taxing multi-millionaires. They can sponsor one carer/nurse per million.

Definitely agree about stricter dog laws
No bbq on beaches
No plastic packaging on fruit/veg
Restriction/laws against keeping animals in insufficient spaces ie fish in tiny tanks or reptiles in too small a space
Laws to stop holidays being hiked up in price too much in the school holidays.

Annual mandatory dog training course. Failure results in forced ownership of 3 cats and your dog gets rehomed.

No dogs allowed anywhere, ever. Actually just get rid of them all.

Mobile phones banned for under 17s.

Every house when sold must leave curtains in situ. Then everyone has a basic working set that fit until the purchaser gets round to changing them if they wish.

All cars and motorbikes must have a black box to record driving.

Sound must added to all electric vehicles. Partially sighted and expect to cause a crash soon. Yes driver should be looking but it’s a bit late when you’re squashed flat (and relax)

No noise in gardens except unavoidable construction or maintenance. If you want to listen to music outdoors wear headphones!
