Cost of living payments

Just a reminder that the first cost of living payment of £301 will start being paid from today. Any time up until May 17th. Keep an eye on your bank accounts!

Mines hit my account today. Standard UC claim. Surname is at the end of the alphabet so maybe working backwards this time.

Are you on legacy benefits? I think the dates for those are different.

Mine went in today beginning of alphabet and my uc isn't due for another two weeks. Last 2 times I was one of the last to receive them.

You had to have had a UC award during the qualifying period to get it. Sure it was February

I'm not sure honestly. I received a text but not a letter, on UC. Was your friend claiming UC on the dates given to be eligible?

There is a range of dates from today until I think the end of next week so if you haven't yet received it and you qualify for it, keep checking your account. If you get tax credits though, rather than universal credits, it's coming later on in may.

That's soo frustrating I received a text last week stating it will be in my bank by the 17th may I received the payment today... I'm on child tax credit now... Half has went into my savings though

He is paying child support 30 pounds a month because he is receiving low income and is on uc credit although he did work last year for a little a bit
