Just a reminder that the first cost of living payment of £301 will start being paid from today. Any time up until May 17th. Keep an eye on your bank accounts!

Got mine today, happy days. Standard UC claim, surname begins with O. My usual UC payment date is the 8th. It does seem random. Hope you all get yours soon if you haven't yet.

Mine went in this morning. Such a help.
It was my national insurance number and DWP COL.

My mum is eligible through pension credit, got a text saying it’d be paid between 25 April to 17 May. Arrived in her account this morning. Surname in latter part of alphabet; payment date depends on how much the payment is, which benefit individuals have been awarded it against and who pays it (either DWP or HMRC) - according to the gov.uk site

Due to be paid my UC on 3rd received statement on 25th. Got my COL payment today. It’s definitely needed with an £800 a month nursery bill each month so gonna use it to finally get a new washing machine as last one was bought 8yrs ago and starting to die now!

Nothing here. I'm hoping I get it in the TC window as I had 2 TC payments in Jan/Feb before they moved me to UC in March. Hoping I haven't fallen through the gap.

I have a feeling it could be by area code? As lot of my friends on the qualifying benefits where I live haven't received anything either.

Just a thought.

Nothing here. I don't think it's the surname. I think it's the national insurance number. If not, it's random. Got my first one on day one, second one on day 4. Will update if I get it.

Ah ok. Maybe it is random. Oh well, that means that it could happen any time then. We'll see.

Can someone help me understand please.
I received a UC payment on 11th March for the assessment period 5 Feb-4 March.
I understand that you are eligible for a COL payment for the UC assessment period 26 January-25 February.
So am I understanding correctly I will be eligible? I so desperate and just praying I am.

@almostoverthehill sorry, I don’t think you will be. Your assessment period had to end between 26th - 25th February but ended in March.

@almostoverthehill if your AP ended within those dates and you receive a payment in February/March you will be eligible.

No text, no letter, but I didn't get either last year and the payments went in ok on the first and then the second day
Nothing yet this time but it's too early to panic I guess. I could use the money though, 🤞🏻for tomorrow
