Cost of living payments

Just a reminder that the first cost of living payment of £301 will start being paid from today. Any time up until May 17th. Keep an eye on your bank accounts!

My DH just got his at 12am. Surname E. Though think it's random. Nothing in my bank yet though.

Can I ask why you get 2? Surely you have a joint claim?

Mine landed today, immediately spent on bills. Joy! Oh well, it will make things a touch easier this month and that's a positive!

@myheartmyhead I, also, thought you could only get one payment per household/joint claim. Me and dh both claim UC and I get Carers allowance but we only receive one payment of £301 between us (ours arrived this morning thank goodness).

I scraped eligibility this time due to working less hours but no payment for me yet. On the last round we had it first day every time so patiently waiting for it to come in so we can spend it on rent arrears 😢

I don't know about joint claims but my youngest son is on UC , lives at the same address as Me, and he will get it as well. Though saying that I suppose anybody on a UC claim will get it, living at home or not.

Mine is in, midnight. Surname start of alphabet, legacy benefits but DWP payment not HMRC.

Just reading an interesting update on this. Apparently DWP have processed 1.6million payments on the 25th, 26th and 27th, totalling 4,800,000 payments made so far.

I bank with monzo nothing showing in my account for early collection so guess mine won't be till late next week anyone with monzo got any my notifications yet?

Monzo is showing a payment to be made in 5 days for me which is available to claim Friday at 4pm

I’m confused as we were on tax credits so they write saying we will get the £301 between 2-9 may but we’ve now changed to UC so will we get the other payments ?

Also the disability payment of £150 when is the qualifying period for that ?

The qualifying date for the disability payment hasn't been announced yet nor has the date it'll be paid.

still nothing. Had to send my daughter to my parents so she can be fed. My cats have just had kittens and are down to last few sachets of food. No dry food left. I’ve only eaten at work since Monday (2meals). I have no gas for hot water. Last few pounds of electric left.
