I am in big trouble and it is all my fault

I rang my partner at work and asked him if he had seen the dog this morning before he left the house.
He said the dog was in the bed (which he was)
I told him the dog must have got out of the cat flap (he is a Chi) and we could not find him.
Then I called him back to say someone had found the dog and he was 20 miles away. To get him back we have to go to a shop (on my partner's way home from work) and say the code word 'cake' to get him back.
My partner left work to come home and look for him...

This is an April Fool btw.. he is not going to be amused is he ?

No. I'd be furious.

Greensleevevssnotnose · 01/04/2023 11:36

You know him best but I doubt it

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 01/04/2023 11:36

I can't imagine anyone finding that amusing..... no words actually.

Why wouldn't you tell him before he left work?

Ocularpatdown · 01/04/2023 11:37

I'd be furious, such a stupid immature thing to do.

Highworth · 01/04/2023 11:37

I really hope you are making this up.

Babyroobs · 01/04/2023 11:37

It's not a nice thing knowing it would worry him. I too would race home if I thought my dog was missing. I would be panic stricken and wouldn't find it funny.

Anycolouryoulike · 01/04/2023 11:37

Oh dear. I don't think anyone would find that funny.

Sugarplumfairy65 · 01/04/2023 11:38

This has to be the most stupid post I've ever read.
There's nothing remotely funny about it.

milkysmum · 01/04/2023 11:38

Can you not message him now and tell him to go back to work (and apologize).

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 01/04/2023 11:39

You sound like an idiot

MrsSkylerWhite · 01/04/2023 11:39

What’s wrong with you? Why would you do that to someone you love?

DojaPhat · 01/04/2023 11:39

Practical jokes April fools or not are atrocious. I'm not even being po-faced, I cannot abide these types of 'jokes'. I'd go so far as to even say I would seriously consider divorce if my partner pulled a stunt like this on me.

MILLYmo0se · 01/04/2023 11:39

Im assuming/hoping the actual AF joke is supposed to be on us, that we would think someone did this? Please tell me Im right and you didnt actually do this to your partner?!

704703hey · 01/04/2023 11:39

Uh oh OP, you have some apologising to do.

Oldnproud · 01/04/2023 11:40

Is this thread the actual April's Fool joke?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 01/04/2023 11:40

Bloody hell, if you ate for real, that’s really really terrible.

BeLuckyy · 01/04/2023 11:40

I'm hoping this post is actually an April fool on us, because I can't believe anyone would be so stupid/cruel to do this.

Aylestone · 01/04/2023 11:40

No chance the ops actually done this 🙄

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 01/04/2023 11:40

Oldnproud · 01/04/2023 11:40

Is this thread the actual April's Fool joke?

Let’s hope

namechange3394 · 01/04/2023 11:40

I would probably leave you for this tbh. What an utterly horrible thing to do to someone you love.

Allthecatsandcosyblankets · 01/04/2023 11:41

I've got second hand embarrassment for you

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 01/04/2023 11:41

@DojaPhat yep it'd be the end of the relationship for me too.

BCBird · 01/04/2023 11:42

U would get the sharp end if my tongue 🙄

BreviloquentBastard · 01/04/2023 11:42

I thought April Fools Day was supposed to be a silly day for primary school aged children to put whoopie cushions on teacher's chair and other harmless silliness? Are you a primary school aged child OP?
