I am in big trouble and it is all my fault

I rang my partner at work and asked him if he had seen the dog this morning before he left the house.
He said the dog was in the bed (which he was)
I told him the dog must have got out of the cat flap (he is a Chi) and we could not find him.
Then I called him back to say someone had found the dog and he was 20 miles away. To get him back we have to go to a shop (on my partner's way home from work) and say the code word 'cake' to get him back.
My partner left work to come home and look for him...

This is an April Fool btw.. he is not going to be amused is he ?

This April fool is nearly as funny as my sister calling me when I was at uni 400 miles away to tell me that my horse was dead. I was devastated.

Your April fool was shit and I wouldn't be surprised that he's very very pissed off with you.

anonymouschef · 01/04/2023 11:42

Wtf no

Lostinplaces · 01/04/2023 11:42

@DojaPhat yep it'd be the end of the relationship for me too.

It's really really really cruel

If it was her husband doing this to her we would say it's abuse

Wtf

DreamingofTimbuktu2 · 01/04/2023 11:43

I’m hoping this is the April fool if not you’re a twat. I’d divorce for this it’s just nasty.

SleepingStandingUp · 01/04/2023 11:45

I can only adult your marriage is in bad shape and you're trying to screw him over

Casilero · 01/04/2023 11:45

Jokes that result in someone getting worried and upset are not in the slightest bit funny. I would leave you if you "pranked" me in this way. What a nasty thing to do. Do you have form for such spiteful "jokes"?

MrsRandom123 · 01/04/2023 11:46

If this is serious i’d leave you

Flyingticket · 01/04/2023 11:50

I hope this thread is the April Fool.

Otherwise you are an idiot.

Cherrysoup · 01/04/2023 11:57

That’s a horrible prank. I’d be devastated if my DH called to say the dog was lost. It’s not funny, why on earth would you do that?

determinedtomakethiswork · 01/04/2023 11:58

You're an idiot. Why would you do that to someone?

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 01/04/2023 11:59

Pretty sure OP is pranking us 🥱

Newtrix · 01/04/2023 12:04

What a vile thing to do.

MisschiefMaker · 01/04/2023 12:04

Given he's left work you should probably call him and set the record straight asap!

Let us know how it goes - good luck.

JumpToRecipe · 01/04/2023 12:05

I refuse to believe that this is real.

AcrobaticCardigan · 01/04/2023 12:06

Not funny. It should be a harmless joke if any. Of course he’d be upset to think the dog was missing.

Beautiful3 · 01/04/2023 12:07

You're a horrible person. What a disgusting thing to do.

Sillybollocks · 01/04/2023 12:09

Going way too far. Pranks are supposed to be silly and harmless.

C1N1C · 01/04/2023 12:10

I'd be telling him to dtb.

TheCentreSlide · 01/04/2023 12:12

What the fuck must your general day to day mentality be if you think this is appropriate or funny? Christ.

BlueThursday · 01/04/2023 12:12

Did ye, aye?

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 01/04/2023 12:14

Why on earth would you think this is funny?

Wherewithout · 01/04/2023 12:15

I’m guessing this thread is the April fool…

DotAndCarryOne2 · 01/04/2023 12:15

April fools are supposed to be funny, daft things. This goes way beyond that, and you know it. Yes, you’re in trouble, yes, he’s going to be angry, and yes, you deserve it. If my partner did this to me as a ‘prank’, frankly it would make me rethink the relationship.
