He did a lot of good work with Battersea.

Firefly1987 · 29/03/2023 03:21

Omg what a shock, 67 is no age these days, very sad news may he rest in peace.

marblemad · 29/03/2023 03:22

I'm genuinely devastated, his work has really impacted the direction of my life and deeply moved my family. Rest in peace.

scottishthistle77 · 29/03/2023 03:22

One of those ones that hits really hard, even though I've never met him.

At least he died suddenly and peacefully, so didn't suffer, according to his partner Andre Portasio.

I just did a search on Facebook and there was pictures taken recently of someone meeting him just 5days ago and he was smiling with a drink in his hand. ❤️

BloomForever · 29/03/2023 03:23

Oh no! I loved his Battersea dogs programme. How sad.

BasiliskStare · 29/03/2023 03:25

That is sad - I loved him with his rehoming dogs programme - he seemed like a lovely chap

EachandEveryone · 29/03/2023 03:27

Ive met him. His friends will be heartbroken. He came accross as you saw him, genuine and frank. Took his dog and beautiful husband everywhere. I really hoped he had a couple more books with him. Sounds like his heart just gave up, as he always said it would. This one has hit me hard. I wondered why I suddenly woke up.

SirenSays · 29/03/2023 03:36

That is such sad news - my grandmother loved him and his little dogs.

cisisaslur · 29/03/2023 03:39

Very sad.
Just read a friend was round with him yesterday and they were laughing and joking and planning new projects so hoping it was quick and painless.

Dita73 · 29/03/2023 04:26

He really did seem to be genuinely lovely. Very sad
