Not queued behind as such but we once queued for ages at the American Embassy and just as we got to the front Ant and Dec pushed in front of us 😂

Last year Ben Miller was stood behind us in the taxi rank outside Kings Cross station. I spotted him straight away.

I knew I had forgotten something -
The entire cast & crew of Little Britain waiting to get back into a hotel I was also staying in after a fire alarm and evacuation. It was a long, dark and wet night and they all went back in before anyone else.

Ralph Fiennes in Daunt books, Marylebone.
Bob Hoskins in a grocers on England’s Lane (he was buying just baguettes, loads of them).
Noel Gallagher in a newsagent in Maida Vale - he let me in front.
Paul Weller in a florist in Maida Vale - he left his car parked outside with the door wide open.

Rod Hull in a taxi rank. He had a big suitcase and bits of Emu's 'feathers' were poking out Grin

Alexander Skarsgard at Gatwick airport. I had to work very hard to play it cool.

Wow - very jealous!!

Mine was Robson Green in Boots.

MishaBukvic · 23/03/2023 12:27

Nick Berry, at the peak of Heartbeat fame, in a fuel station just off the A1. Very nice and signed his autograph on my newspaper for me.

Hobbi · 23/03/2023 12:27

Bucks Fizz, Heathrow.

yumyum33 · 23/03/2023 12:29

Charles Dance at East Finchley post office.

Throwncrumbs · 23/03/2023 12:29

Barbara Windsor sat behind us at a Panto that Christopher Buggins was in, he pointed out his ‘good friend’ Babs and all lights shone one her plus us, my 10 year old asked who she was, I told her Peggy Mitchell! We had better seats than she did!

yumyum33 · 23/03/2023 12:30

Paul Burrell at New York Customs. He was livid for having to join the queue. Kept moaning on and on.

easycomeasygo · 23/03/2023 12:31

My brother and SIL queued behind Prince William and Kate at an ice cream van at a wedding....
I queued behind Stephen Mulhern in m&S last week
Very similar I'd say

ODFOx · 23/03/2023 12:31

I went all the way round the BodyWorlds exhibition (years ago) behind David Baddiel who had a gorgeous baby in a carrier.

easycomeasygo · 23/03/2023 12:32

KateAusten · 23/03/2023 12:33

Yes, I was in Boots next to Stephen Hughes who used to play for Arsenal

I knew he looked familiar but unsure as to why at the time!

LindorDoubleChoc · 23/03/2023 12:34

Oh and Martin Jarvis at a print shop in Chelsea. He was having some party invitations printed up.

Tucci · 23/03/2023 12:36

Lowry Turner in a taxi queue at a London railway station late at night when the train had been massively delayed and where there were elderly people and no taxis. Nothing horrendous but let’s just say I didn’t warm to her but it was a stressful situation.

coodawoodashooda · 23/03/2023 12:37

Christine and Neil Hamilton, in Sainsburys.

Lorrymum · 23/03/2023 12:37

Sally Phillips in a cafe in Winchester. We did the "after you, no after you" scenario. She was very sweet.

Biggins at the airport.
Jonathan Groff came to talk to the lady in front of me in the queue for a charity show, turned out she was his dresser in the play he was in. He stayed and chatted the whole time we were waiting and was just lovely.

Oh, lucky you, I love him and I’m glad he’s as nice in real life as he seems! (Groff, not Biggins Grin)

Not a queue, but I sat behind Arsene Wenger on an aeroplane once. He was travelling alone and seemed a bit grumpy, but I think Arsenal weren’t doing well at the time!

zena2 · 23/03/2023 12:40

Helen Flanagan in the Marks & Spencer food hall. She was buying one of those Valentines meal deals for £20... She kept holding up the items and asking the cashier "ALL THIS for £20??", "Are you sure??" "£20??"... Cashier politely just answered but didn't let on if she recognised her or not.. Just treated her as any other customer. Nobody else around seemed to recognise her either. I got the impression she wanted to be recognised so kept talking just trying to make people look up and recognise her. I could be wrong but this was just the feeling I got.

Mocha1978 · 23/03/2023 12:42

Colleen Rooney and her family (no Wayne) for a tractor ride at a children's farm play park near Liverpool several yrs ago. Happily queued with everyone else, she kept herself to herself not courting any attention.
