Ever queued behind anyone famous? I once queued up in Boots behind Wendy Craig,

I just remembered we queued for breakfast behind a huge bunch of strong men in a hotel in Aberdeen once. They were the loveliest guys but the hotel was having to repeatedly restock the bacon and sausages as they were eating mountains of them.

One memorable occasion in the food department of M&S in Kensington. Princess Diana at the till on one side of me and Diana Rigg on the other side of me. Not all at the same till. I was at the middle one so doesn't fully meet the OP's brief!

Also saw Julian Cope at a motorway services once. He had remarkably skinny legs.

I queued behind Emily Bishop (Eileen Derbyshire) in John Lewis and Mike Joyce in Ikea.

Not exactly, but we sat at a table in front of Marcus Brigstocke and companion at a Wahaca in London. I was about to start eating the food the waitress had put in front of me when I realised it wasn’t actually what I’d ordered. She apologised, whipped it away, and gave it to him. He didn’t notice!

She's lovely. Often see her in Waitrose.

Henley is a good place to spot the famous.

Didn't queue but sat beside Judy Murray once on a flight from London to Edinburgh. She was very quiet and unassuming, no airs and graces, had a book with her. I'd love to have complimented her on raising such good sons but my courage failed me and i didn't want to bother her so we both quietly read for the whole flight!

Queued behind Rosemary Conley in M&S food Hall. She was definitely not going to be sticking to the Hip and Thigh diet that weekend going by the contents of her trolley. She drove an enormous burgundy Rolls Royce.

Served Eileen from corrie loads of times at House of Fraser - very lovely lady.
