Just a general chat about what gifts people received for Mother's Day?

I got some nice flowers and a bottle of Golden Dusk perfume by Sunnamusk.

Afternoon tea out yesterday, some scented candles, a lovely boxed rose, make up storage, hand cream and a travel mug, plus home made cards from school/nursery. I've had a wonderful day 😊

Highlyflavouredgravy · 19/03/2023 19:37

Prosecco snd flowers and both my sons travelled across couhtry to spend the day with me. I wasn't expecting them and I cried when they arrived😳🥰🥰

DonnaDonna0 · 19/03/2023 19:38

Flowers, cards and afternoon tea at a lovely restaurant. DS’s card and gift arriving tomorrow 😂 I absolutely don’t mind and it’s a standing joke now that he’s always a day late. (20 and at Uni)

A card and a lovely necklace.

It's my 5th Mother's Day as a mum and this is the first year I've got something other than flowers. DH really seems to have clicked around appreciating what goes into being a mum in the last year... and that's because our work situation has changed and we're sharing it all more equally. Who could have guessed?!

minley76 · 19/03/2023 19:41

Lovely cards made at school and sneaked home with great secrecy.

Balloon handed to me by member of staff at Morrisons at the end of the day when they were dismantling the Mother's day advertising.

Nothing whatsoever from husband (kids too small to sort anything themselves).

ButterflyBitch · 19/03/2023 19:42

Some hand warmers that will apparently also charge my phone 🤔and 8 very expensive chocolates that aren’t very nice. Yes im ungrateful I know I am. I wish he’d just let the kids buy what they wanna buy rather than buying stuff that he thinks is nice.
my daughter did make me a cup of tea and a drew me a picture and I’ve had hugs all day from my son so that’s lovely.

SweetSakura · 19/03/2023 19:42

COVID!

And some lovely flowers and candles etc .which were thing that made me realise I might have COVID as i couldn't smell them.

DH has been amazing and looked after me and spoilt me. The children were with their dad this weekend but they both got in touch and called and messaged me which meant a lot as they are both quite young and their dad is difficult so it takes guts for them call me from his.

Ionlydrinkondaysendinginy · 19/03/2023 19:42

Flowers, a Teddy and chocolate. And handmade cards

Floralnomad · 19/03/2023 19:43

Mine are now adults , I got a lovely text and tin of Belgian biscuits from one ( he doesn’t do cards ) and the other one bought me a CD and added some more music to my ‘mothers day’ mixed stick for the car . She also did me a card written in the style of a W1A sketch , she does them each year in the style of TV programmes that I like .

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 19/03/2023 19:43

I got a comic strip in which I feature asking 'are you sure about dat' to everything everyone says. Not sure why as I never say this Grin
A cut out cardboard Easter egg.
A melon
2 Mangoes
An apple
A bar of 85% chocolate
2 Danish pastries
2 Turkish bowls
A picture of a lemon tree which hasn't arrived when it should.

Bit random but rather sweet.

A card, some pyjamas, a candle and a mug. Also caught a nasty cough off my little boy and have been slightly hungover as me and my husband were at a wedding yesterday 😇

Glenthebattleostrich · 19/03/2023 19:46

DD checked my makeup drawer to see what i was running low on and restocked my mascara, foundation and eyebrow pencil. Also gin, chocolate, sweary Affirmations cards and a random wine set! breakfast in bed and lunch out! Feeling very spoilt

AliceMcK · 19/03/2023 19:46

3 home made cards, a few hours out of bed to spend time with my babies, took one to build a bear, 2 got new swimming costumes, a nice pot of tea in muffin break. Finally a couple of chick flicks I’ve chosen with us chilling out on the couch, perfect!

WhatWouldHopperDo · 19/03/2023 19:48

A book that DD knew I wanted and some chocs from DS. DD also got me some lillies.

Minimummonday · 19/03/2023 19:48

An adorably badly made breakfast in bed and wine. My 7yr old knows me

PicturesOfLily · 19/03/2023 19:50

Wine, chocolates and some new slippers (which I’d asked for as mine were falling apart). DD(5) also painted a picture of me at school 😅 Oh and a 5.38am wake up call from said DD to wish me happy Mother’s Day and ask if I wanted to open my presents yet!

sexnotgenders · 19/03/2023 19:50

The chance to have a poo all by myself. It was immense, and without question the best present ever!

ytetgva · 19/03/2023 19:51

Home made cards flowers and a box of cakes from the local bakery

PinkSyCo · 19/03/2023 19:51

I was thoroughly spoilt. I got cards, chocolates, perfume, more chocolates, smellies, more chocolates, Prosecco, more chocolates and best of all a lovely lunch out with 4 out of 5 of my kids plus son-in-and 2 gorgeous grandsons. 😊

onwardandupwards · 19/03/2023 19:52

Flowers, a lovely mug and a ton of cheese, crackers and chutneys for a cheeseboard tonight

champagneplanet · 19/03/2023 19:53

A bottle of gin, a huge bar of chocolate and a new book by an author DD knows I like (this was my favourite as she pointed it out to DH
in Tesco, it shows she pays attention). No flowers as it was my birthday in the week and I still have some.

mamaduckbone · 19/03/2023 19:55

Homemade cards, a plant, 2 bars of green & blacks and a tea towel!

autumnboys · 19/03/2023 19:58

A bottle of my favourite non alcoholic gin which I’d run out of, tonic and tickets to see Jack Whitehall. DH cooked lunch for us all, including my own mum. Lovely day.

bakewellbride · 19/03/2023 19:58

Flowers
Cards
Huge bar of chocolate
Lie in with breakfast in bed
A couple of hours to laze about
A couple of token gifts my son chose during school hours from the Mother's Day gift shop

Kids 4 and a half and nearly 1 so apart from the bottom thing on the list, everything was organised by dh. He is the best.
