Uncultured opinions thread

MeinKraft · 14/03/2023 15:00

A thread for those of us who have less refined tastes.

No arguing please, like the unpopular opinions thread please respect the uncultured opinions.

I'll start;

Oscar nominated films are often boring and rubbish. I'd rather watch old episodes of Gavin and Stacey or Ghosts. (I'll make an exception for Titanic, the greatest film of all time)

Ok, start with an expensive champers/wine. Then from then on in, cheapo stuff - you just cannot tell!!

LemonDrizzles · 14/03/2023 19:36

Sometimes, I still wonder what my fave big brother contestants are doing today

Afonavon · 14/03/2023 19:36

I would choose a Pot Noodle as 1st choice for lunch.

Lambrini is the only drinkable wine.

Theme Park holidays are better than cultural holidays.

Pub grub Lasagne and Chips is a fabulous meal out, way better than fancy restaurant fayre.

Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda clothes are just as good and way cheaper than high street shop clothes.

Teeheeeheee · 14/03/2023 19:40

Playing dress up and going to a cold room (the theatre) to listen to people screech like banshees (opera) is bonkers. I'd rather host a movie night in pjs in a cosy lounge and sleep off on the sofa.

ReluctantFishLady · 14/03/2023 19:41

Ballet is really boring.

As is most classical music. It only sounds good in films.

neitherofthem · 14/03/2023 19:45

ClassicLib · 14/03/2023 18:38

Jazz is crap. It’s self indulgent, tuneless, boring rubbish.

Oysters are disgusting, slimy inedible muck.

Are you me?

EspeciallyDedicated · 14/03/2023 19:46

Give me Pringles over kettle chips any day

Smogtopia · 14/03/2023 19:47

I love gender reveals and do give a shit about the sex of the child people I know have (and celebs especially if I think they harboured a strong desire for a certain sex)

I always order chips with my chinese

Feetinthemudandleaves · 14/03/2023 19:51

I watch Sister Wives and Married at First Sight (I’m ashamed)

I like traditional British seaside towns - arcades, funfairs, donkeys and all the tackiness that goes with that.

Page 1 and I need read no further!I love a British seaside town so much I live in one.

WoofWoofBeachLife · 14/03/2023 19:53

Asda pizza from the counter is the best. Aldi gold roast coffee ☕️ too. Alberto Balsam £1 shampoo rather than a ten quid bottle that makes my hair flat or frizz. Good old chappie dog food for my dogs and not a £60 bag just because it's a "good name" think Royal Canin. Lots more just can't list them all.

WoofWoofBeachLife · 14/03/2023 19:54

Ps, the co op tiger loaf is better than any other and not mega expensive.

I have sugar in my tea.

Brilliant Grin everyone knows sugary tea is much nicer but very few people admit it.

I'd rather eat in Nando's than some posh restaurant.
And I only eat white bread.
I have the telly on most of the day.

MaidOfSteel · 14/03/2023 20:05

luxuryisforme · 14/03/2023 19:58

Robyn and Kody?? 😉

I love love love Sister Wives. And all things 90 Day Fiance!

LolaSmiles · 14/03/2023 20:05

The more expensive the meal, the less food you get on your plate. I'd rather have a pub Sunday lunch than a fancy arty plate of smeary pastes and foam. I'm not spending half our weekly food bill to leave hungry.

uhtredsonofuhtred1 · 14/03/2023 20:05

Cadbury's over posh chocs

All inclusive Buffett over fancy restaurant where you have to eat when you get home due to the stupidly small portions.

Birds powdered semolina packet is my guilty pleasure

Sometimes I melt some cadburys chocolate in the microwave and mix some marshmallows in 😋

Love reality TV, 90 day fiancé, sister wives, 19 kids and counting, 1000lb sisters, big brother...I could go on!

Blue nun "wine" is my favourite

Dignorantonio · 14/03/2023 20:05

I hate all wine and would rather have a glass of Coke with my meal.

BigBadBoom · 14/03/2023 20:10

I love theme parks. We've been with the kids to Alton Towers, Disney, Universal etc and we may have had more fun than them. Also love traditional British seaside resorts, the rides the candyfloss, the amusements. I'm clearly still just a child in a forty-something's body.

Cocobutt · 14/03/2023 20:11

YES!!! 😂😂

I’m absolutely loving this thread!

ClassicLib · 14/03/2023 20:12

The Brontës are the most overrated authors in history. I couldn’t fucking care less which posh dickhead some vacuous simpering bint marries.

MaidOfSteel · 14/03/2023 20:05

Some of my favourite shows! I love all things 90 day too.

VelvetThunder · 14/03/2023 20:14

The only kind of sit down restaurant you're likely to find me at is an all you can eat Chinese.

I much prefer watching TV or playing playstation than reading a book.

DrMeredithGrey2023 · 14/03/2023 20:14

Kebab, aperol spritz and some trash tv = perfect night in
