Meals or food you love that to everyone else are completely boring/horrible

My absolute favourite lunch that I really look forward to, is corn thins (like rice cakes) with cottage cheese on. I could eat tonnes of it! On the cottage cheese subject, I witnessed my DM mixing in orange segments to hers on a salad the other day. Odd.

One of my favourite treats is a tin of peach slices in juice, eaten straight from the tin. No accoutrements needed.

(I don't do this in front of other people, obviously.)

Oh yes to tinned peaches and the syrup!

That sounds amazing!

Ilkleymoor · 15/02/2023 11:35

Crisp sandwich on really crappy white bread

MissBridgetJones · 15/02/2023 11:36

Tinned plum tomatoes on toast. Salt and white pepper. Worcestershire sauce if I'm feeling fancy.

Blueberrywitch · 15/02/2023 11:36

Microwave rice and tinned tuna with soy sauce. I have recently got the DP involved by labelling these nights as “student life nights” where we both eat something extremely low effort to whip up and not very flavourful for dinner. The branding has got him on board 😂

BlondeBombshelf · 15/02/2023 11:37

I absolutely love Walkers ready salted crisps with chopped up KitKats on the top. It has to be the brands I’ve found on this occasion, nothing else quite cuts it.

Meals wise, it’s boring, but a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw. It’s the best topping out there.

BigPurpleArm · 15/02/2023 11:37

Slice of bread dipped in a mug of thick instant gravy

Boiled rice, topped with a can of baked beans mixed with smoked paprika and got sauce and then grated mature cheddar on top 👌

Pasta or plain noodles mixed with a squirt of ketchup and some butter - with grated cheese on

Dotcheck · 15/02/2023 11:38

Mashed potato with gravy

yum

Walterwhiteswifey · 15/02/2023 11:39

Baked potato but absolutely swimming in melted cheddar. And when you think there's enough cheese on... add some more. 😋

Me too, although has to be my own, made slowly version.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 15/02/2023 11:47

Tinned tomatoes with bread and butter for dipping in the juice. Mum used to make it for us for breakfast on cold mornings and now it feels like comfort in a bowl.
