Man spreading on the bus *pic*

I'm currently on the bus. It's busy. Had to ask this dick to move his bag so I could sit. He did, however didn't move his legs so I made room for myself and pushed his leg over a bit when I sat. He didn't move. He hasn't moved. I felt a bit ick with him touching me so have crossed my a leg a bit and am using my foot to keep his leg off me.....he pretending to be asleep, eyes tight closed.

I hope I've marked his trousers. He's not moved though...I'm pushing a bit and have a steadfastly got on my foot against him and the front of the bus.

I want to ask him really loud if he has something wrong with his testicles and that's why he is taking up so much space. 🙄

It really makes me angry.

Awful! Look how far over his knee is. I’d assume he has some horrible infection or inflammation that means he can’t put his legs together 🤣

Some patients do this in my consulting room at work so their knee is right in my space. I don’t know what point they are trying to make.

I have so much rage and sympathy for you. It’s never because they anatomically don’t fit the seats. It’s because their humanity doesn’t fit the seats.

🤣 it’s the worst @CucumberCool isn’t it?! Sometimes I hate people 🙈

I once got stuck on a full 5 hour night flight in a middle seat with a sleeping man spreader on either side of me 😬 AND the token abusive drunk on the plane in the middle seat right infront of me 🙄 he kicked off for a good 30 mins then fell asleep with his chair fully reclined 😂
The air hostesses kept coming to check on me 🙈 i got a free Prosecco & bar of chocolate out of it but it was a very uncomfortable flight 🤣

I would definitely ask him to move his leg.
"Excuse me, please can you move your leg so I can sit on my seat properly"

Manspreading is the worst!

nobody’s junk is that big that they can’t close their legs.
it’s horrible. Just tell him, can you move your leg over please. If he doesn’t then kick him and say woops 🤣

Where's the centre line of the seat? Is it where the round thing is in the panel or is it where the panel edge is on the left between his legs?

He's not manspreading. His right leg is pointing forward. He may or may not be over the mid point of the seat - we cannot tell from the photograph- but he's not got his right leg splayed.

That is not the corner of the bus! His legs are still apart enough as he had his bag between.

The centre line of the seat is under his leg. You see my foot pushing and holding his leg away from me. Otherwise, he was pressing his leg against mine. I didn't have a whole seat to sit on.

He didn't do anything, made no attempt to move if it made him uncomfortable.

I agree. Your leg appears to be further over his side . If you had taken the pic before crossing your leg? it may have shown how far over he his . But from the pic it looks like you are taking more space than him OP .

Yes, the photo angle is confusing especially for those of us who don't use buses often. I'm assuming the centre of the seat is to the far left of your photo, in which case - yuck!

Stand up, adjust yourself, sit down again, shoving/clonking his knee with your bag/coat/umbrella/book, and step slightly on his foot. Oh SORRY.

Also works with under the table leg spreaders on the train.

It looks like centre line is on the left and round thing on right is centre line of the right hand seat.

Shift your bum to the left. You have left a gap so he is filling it. Move over to the left more and he will shift over

Once I was on the train, standing room only but not sardines. Someone came and stood right next to me and leaned slightly on the side panel as I was doing, but right up against my shoulder, so I could no longer stand upright without partially also supporting his bodyweight! There was just no need for it, it was clearly deliberate. I said straight away "Would you mind giving me a little more personal space please?" and he not only did so but disappeared into the next carriage.

i can just imagine that if a woman was taking up more space, perhaps with her shopping or legs and you took a photo of her legs there would be an uproar.

Really poor form to take a photo of that man’s legs and he doesn’t even look like he isn’t taking up extra space.

It doesn't look like there's much clearance between his knee and the seat in front. I think men over six feet tall struggle to sit with their legs together because their knees get crushed.

Pointing forward in OP's space! Her seat is directly behind the seat in front (that's the grey panel) and he's in her space
