Was chatting to a friend about this. Are they a bit naff really?
DH and half my town seem to love them, I’m not fussed.
Dont know how to do a poll but was just wondering what you all think (obv not a first world issue I realise)

My husband's got one (his initials and the number of our house). He likes it. Can't say I'm bothered either way.

Well my grandad got one and then I inherited it as we have the same initials so I actually live mine.
My parents have them and I think they are quite cool. But I saw a VAG the other day and wondered wtf anyone would be ok driving that around lol.

I don't mind them! I think if you have strong opinions against them it says more about you then them

They are a pointless waste of money IMO but if that's what people want to waste their money on then that is their business

They are a bit naff but I have several friends who are perfectly nice/decent people who have one

The majority are naff if they aren't obvious. I do have one though, it's spells my name exactly and is worth an absolute fortune. It's an investment that just keeps growing. My best investment yet I'll add!
Also have a few others that aren't as good but have gone up a lot in value.

Love mine, DH got it for my birthday last year. DH has had his for 20+ years and now DD has bought one. Lots of her mates are buying cars and private plates too. They show our initials and numbers that mean things to us. Couldn't care less if they're considered naff or not Smile
