Just that really! I'm sat here watching Supermarket Sweep and realised that I don't know anyone who has been on a game show! Have you or someone been on one and if so, did you win anything!?

@shesabitofastrangeone I have to ask, how the hell did they not win at Deal or no Deal?!?

My Dad was on Criss Cross Quiz. It was a VERY long time ago though!

Ive been on 3. Win £1500 in one an a few £££ in the other 2

I think they have to have a pretty 'out there' wedding plan to begin with - this one certainly was very unusual! I also think the producers definitely encourage situations like the dress to make good TV! She cried when she opened the dress bag and tried it on, it was awful!

I haven't been on a quiz show but I have met some TV quizzers at a quiz festival.

Pat from the Eggheads was absolutely lovely, as was his wife. Paul Sinha and Shaun Wallace were both great as well, and were really encouraging to my quiz obsessed DS.

I was on a C5 gameshow. Very low budget. I did ok but didn't win anything.
The show was pulled off air a few months later because they were faking the premium rate phone number where you can win a prize.
I don't think they were faking the actual show though, the person who won was better than me and did seem genuine.

I failed the audition for Sale of the Century.
Then the bloke that won asked DH and I for a lift somewhere and I refused.

My uncle went on The Generation Game many moons ago.

Some relatives have been on Bargain Hunt. Didn't win but really enjoyed it and everyone was lovely.

Yes. Someone I shared accommodation with at uni had been on the weakest link.

Not a game show, but someone I worked with had also been on changing rooms.

Quite a few- 2 x Millionaire, Mastermind. 15-1, 3 x University Challenge.

A very clever family friend was on university challenge then weakest link. Won both, then came second in weakest link champions round. He has a masters from Cambridge though and certainly doesn't need the money.

One of my managers was on bake off and I was secretly pleased when she got voted off early on cos she was a bit of a bitch!

Me and DP used to watch a lot of this, and I’m pretty sure some weddings are agreed between the couple in advance.

It is bizarre though that more of them don’t just discuss it all thoroughly in advance and/or so many of the grooms just don’t give a shit.

I know a guy that was countdown champion and then went on the chase, 15 to 1 and another show think it was called going for gold?

Someone i worked on was on a gameshow on bbc , can't remember what it was called but he won a few thousand.
I also know someone who won £10k on tipping point.

Many many years ago a male friend was on Blind Date. He didn't get picked.

I’ve only been in the audience for Deal or No Deal but I used to be quite friendly with a woman who was a contestant on gladiators, she made it through to the semi finals!

I loved going for gold with Henry Kelly! On the very occasional time I was home from school sick, I'd be allowed watch neighbours at lunchtime followed by going for gold. It was fab.

Not a game show but I was on most haunted doing a vigil in a old pub.

Nothing scary happened but I made stuff up to scare my friend and the way they edited it made it look terrifying.

I've been on The Chase and won. Three friends have also been on and two of them won.

I've seen people I knew at school on both Pointless and Tipping Point as well but neither of them won.
