Do you know anyone who has been on a game show?!

Just that really! I'm sat here watching Supermarket Sweep and realised that I don't know anyone who has been on a game show! Have you or someone been on one and if so, did you win anything!?

My mother in law and her sister were on Bargain Hunt a couple of years ago. I was baffled (but not surprised) at the shit they chose.

An ex Colleague of mine went on the Generation Game (Jim Davidson days). He didn't get very far.

Reckoned Jim Davidson was a miserable, shouty sod too.

My friend was picked for a game show last year, quite a famous one with a household name presenter. She went to London and on the day she was due to film they ran over and she was bumped off the list. She was absolutely devastated. We watched it when it came out and it was one of them ‘unlimited’ prize money shows, most people came away with at least £60,000 😔

I used to babysit for someone who was on Blankety Blank, she didn't win but the chequebook and pen had pride of place on the mantelpiece Grin

We love it too. My OH keeps saying that we should go on. Not sure we'd do that well.

She only wants to go on because of Tim Weeks!!

An aunt and uncle of mine were on The Generation Game, in the 70s. They said that Bruce Forsyth was absolutely bloody awful, shouting at the contestants AND the audience and constantly doing retakes, especially for the applause!

My cousin's husband was on Blockbusters and he won the week, his big prize was a holiday to Mexico (If I remember right). He said that Bob Holnes was an absolute diamond.

I was down to the last round to get on the most recent who wants to be a millionaire but I didn't plan it well and had to do the final audition in my managers office and my colleagues kept coming in!
It's on my bucket list to go on a game show so I'll keep trying!
My secondary school maths teacher was on Crystal maze!

I know someone who was on Bullseye years ago. Also know one person who was on 15 to 1, one who was on The Chase and one who was on something recently but I only watched the one episode and can't remember what it was called.

A colleague was on Supermarket Sweep. We watched it in the office one day.

Acquaintance was on The Chase - not seen it.

Ed boyfriends mate won £10k on Deal or No Deal.

Step dad's uncle was on Pointless.

My mum got down to filming for Mastermind but got poorly so couldn't do it.

I'm sure there are others...

Me & exh we're on a newly weds edition of Play Your Cards right many many years ago. We won and Brucie was lovely. We met Wilnelia and she was expecting JJ at the time. She was stunningly beautiful.
A friend and her husband were on couples Come Dine With Me.

Early 90's, 2 school colleagues were on a kids TV game show. Our whole class went to the set to watch. The set was tiny compared to how it appeared on TV. They didn't win!

We were Ask The Family champions in the 1970s, with Robert Robertson. The prize money was in a brown paper envelope. My father-in-law taped it.

I knew a family who were on Family Fortunes once, a mother and her daughters. They all, the mother especially, spoke in odd posh voices, were rigid as boards and it was so embarrassing to watch. They were so nervous and not themselves at all. They won nothing.

I have a work colleague who was on deal or no deal and won about £30000 with it. She used it as a deposit for a house.

A former colleague has been on Who wants to be a millionaire (he won 500 000), university challenge and probably others as well
