Sunak was fucking rude. How he could blatantly sit there not listening when he's supposed to be answering questions. That's the whole fucking point of PMqs.

You couldn't write how badly Sunak did today. He lied (again) saying that the right the to do with a bully is let them sail off into the night after telling them how much you'll miss their support. No, the right thing to do was to fire him, or even better, not put him in the job in the first place.

Also his but Corbyn and saying that Labour would trash the economy- hmm, I think his party already did that. I don't think he listens to what comes out of his mouth anymore than he listens to other people.

I still can't grasp how on earth he is Peime minister.

itsgettingweird · 10/11/2022 04:29

Yes that comment about how Labour would trash the economy was just stupid - again.

But I loved how Starmer retorted about how Tory's has managed to achieve just that already.

I would be geniunely interested to learn how it would be possible to trash the current UK economy. Does anyone know?

itsgettingweird · 10/11/2022 07:24

Ask one of our recent numerous PMs.

They seem to be experts at it!

Notonthestairs · 10/11/2022 08:03

Labour would trash the economy! They really think we have the memory of a goldfish don't they.

DuncinToffee · 10/11/2022 08:45

They haven't got anything left to defend the indefensible

Another one here

Are nurses paid enough?

Cabinet minister Chris Heaton-Harris tells @KayBurley: “That’s very difficult to judge… it’s a vocation, I suppose you could say politics is a vocation in many ways”

Yeah, all nurses, especially female nurses have a calling to work long hours doing a physical, sometimes shitty job in an extremely stressful environment. If they can manage to keep a roof over their familie's head it's a bonus for them.

countrygirl99 · 10/11/2022 09:27

Presumably in that case Chris Heaton-Harris thinks MPs should have the same salary as a nurse.

Brilliant duncin
At the same time the government spaff money at their mates and the ever revolving cabinet
Disgraceful

L1ttledrummergirl · 10/11/2022 09:46

My dsil is a nurse who I never in a million years would ever vote to strike. This time she has. For her it's not about the money, it's because she feels that the ratios of staff to patients, particularly those with complex cases are meaning she doesn't feel that she can give good, safe care.

Another thing is that many nurses now work through agencies where the pay is higher, the cost to the NHS is huge and obviously agency fees apply. Stop using agency workers, save money and have better continuity of care. Put that money into the employed nurses.

mibbelucieachwell · 10/11/2022 10:39

Yes. The thing that really gets my goat about con governments is that not only are they increasingly fascist but they're so wasteful with our money. They sell off essential services to providers who duh, run them only for profit, until they sometimes aren't profitable then the government has to step in to bale them out. So wasteful. And as you say @L1ttledrummergirl they even give their grubby contracts to their useless mates.

Piggywaspushed · 10/11/2022 13:46

While we are on public sector pay , here's another pair of graphs.

@DuncinToffee That's a brilliantly powerful post and actually rather moving.

Latest ONS GDP figures - UK GDP fell by estimated 0.6% in September, meaning the quarter as a whole fell by 0.2%. If GDP falls again next quarter we are officially in recession

I don't know, didn't she try and blame it all on him? Tit for tat but as my kids used to say, "She started it."

Blossomtoes · 11/11/2022 13:07

She was PM. The boss should take the flak.

I may have misheard as I only had half an ear listening to the radio, but I’m sure that I heard them say No 10 have put out that they’re going to reduce the number of ministers they send out to comment on reports….. presumably a because they all talk shite that is laughing stock within hours.

mibbelucieachwell · 11/11/2022 14:25

Lol. Just caught up with Kwasi's interview. A big girl made me do it GrinGrin
