Strap in, we’re going on a ride from Westminster to the Isle of Man. This is the story of Michelle Mone and that £29m.

So why hasn't the defective PPE been returned to the companies it was bought from and a refund of taxpayers money secured? I genuinely don't understand why this isn't happening. I bought a dress from an online company the other day and some of the stitching was faulty, I immediately returned it for a refund and that was only for £45. But apparently £200 million of faulty goods justs get written off as one of those things.

countrygirl99 · 15/12/2022 18:04

@Fladdermus the difference is that was your money and no back scratching happened.

Not a narcissist at all

I'm in awe of how ridiculous one person can get. Everytime you think he's hit the bottom he finds a way of getting lower.

Wtf would have been going through his head for this to even have been thought, for it to be said, and then actual happen. I'm agog waiting for the next thing.

Does anyone know what the 11% swing in Stretford and Urmston means re predicting future results? I know it was a low turnout, but given the weather conditions I'm impressed at how many did vote.

pointythings · 16/12/2022 08:59

@L1ttledrummergirl I reckon it means the Tories aren't making much progress with their quest to get out of electoral trouble. But Labour shouldn't get complacent.

Blossomtoes · 16/12/2022 09:32

Good analysis of what it might indicate here.

This.

We have 2 years until a GE.

Labour need to make ground and then hold it.

The article is very good.

I haven't watched much of Question Time recently but I thought this was interesting (particularly the media section)

"I've been documenting the right-wing bias of @bbcquestiontime panels this year and to mark the final episode @CentralBylines have published a summary of my findings along with articles by @MikeCashman1 and @WillnerPaul"

I got some news notification earlier from Microsoft start saying something along the lines of huge boost to Sunak in latest poll. Took me to Daily Express (🙄) and their personal poll tracker (🙄🙄) and the long and the short of it was that Labour down 2% and the Tories up 1% (🙄🙄🙄)
