Gawd that is a hopeless response but reveals that they simply don't have an answer for why Williamson was brought in.

Keegan had a mare on the media rounds this morning. Nurses use of foodbanks is down to broken boilers or broken relationships she said.

Sunak brought Williamson as Minister of Nothing because he is a bully. What was his role going to be other than going round bullying MPs and other Ministers?

I was a little disappointed with Keegan's radio 4 interview. Since she is education minister I thought it would have been good to ask whether it would be fine for a school to appointed a teacher knowing that there were serious allegations of misconduct against them.

So Sunak's defence of appointing Williamson is that he wasn't aware of the specifics of the complaint.

Which begs the question, why didn't he know? Because surely the response in his position to hearing there was a complaint is 'tell me the specifics'.

I was quite interested by Keegan but she did herself zero favours this morning.

I know she will have briefed to say Corbyn Corbyn Corbyn to rebut criticism but more often than not they'd be much better off just accepting the flak and admitting it wasn't good enough and shouldn't happen again - maybe even suggesting ways to prevent it happening again ie don't appoint ministers that have already been sacked!

The last Health Secretary to speak with the RCN was Sajid Javid, 4 Health Secretaries ago.

Isn't it weird that once upon a time that could have meant the last time HS spoke to RCN was 10 years ago more, now it could have been a couple of months ago. I think it was actually a whole 4 months ago but hey they could speed up.

Do you think it would be possible to find out via FOI how much the severance of the ever changing cabinet has cost over the past year? It must be eye watering
