I'm in Sweden and even at the height of the pandemic I could still get an appointment in a reasonable time. They changed the way they did them and some were over the phone but at no point did I feel like I wasn't getting appropriate care at an appropriate time.

So an appointment to discuss changing my meds due to side effects, done over the phone in a couple of days rather than the usual in person. An appointment for an ECG because I was having chest pains, done in person (obviously) within 2 hours of me calling. Health assessment for disability benefits, had an appointment for 6 weeks later as benefits agency were allowing extra time due to covid so really not urgent. A&E visit due to suspected kidney problem, in, tested, diagnosed, medicated and sent home within 3 hours.

The tories are hiding their destruction of the NHS behind covid. 'Don't fall for it.

I said she is doing surprisingly well. She's only been in post 2 weeks bit early to be listing achievements. By doing well I mean she can certainly hold her own in the HOC also with tht activist 'journalists', very assertive and confident. Puts the ridiculous opposition front bench back in their boxes.

She also seems very proactive and wants to end the awful dangerous smuggling of vulnerable people in small inflatables. I'm really surprised some on here aren't as horrified as I am by this trafficking. It isn't safe and needs to stop.

Does she defend known sex pests?
Does she break the law?

We know that you approve of such things.

'Ferrari would have been a heck of a lot cheaper.'

Not sure if it would have given much of a view of the channel and the operational areas although the op does agree with you that a car would have sufficed Grin.

Does Braverman not know what the sea looks like?

@jgw1 I’ve got one! She moved the modern slavery brief out of safeguarding and into immigration to punish foreign national victims of modern slavery. Turns out though that the most referred victims of modern slavery in the UK are actually British children, so she’s just managed to put British children more at risk instead. (Am I doing this right?)

jgw1 · 04/11/2022 19:13

Blossomtoes · 04/11/2022 11:51

Why did she need to see the Channel?

Has anyone been in the back of a chinnook who can advise what the view is like?

(Answer= rubbish, surely much better to be in a spotter helicopter?)

itsgettingweird · 04/11/2022 19:36

Does Braverman not know what the sea looks like?

She spend enough of her time in boats in Warsash. So unless she's had her eyes shut ..... 🤣

Roussette · 04/11/2022 19:36

Let's be realistic here...we all know why the Chinook.

It was to play to her racist fan base. The optics of going to war against the invaders in a army helicopter. I'm only surprised there wasn't a machine gun mounted.
She would've wet herself if she spotted a dinghy
It's all the optics, it always is with this shitshow

I think you must agree that she is doing a wonderful job.

You're surprised there wasn't a machine gun mounted? Such a grossly inappropriate thing to say and then the misogynistic 'she'd wet herself'. What a very odd and sick scenario.

'rubbish, surely much better to be in a spotter helicopter'

Oh do please present yourself to the Government along with the op as very special and expert consultants on helicopters and their use.

@Janiie you are upset that someone on here is misogynistic, but have spent months defending the most misogynistic Prime Minister the country has ever had including when he was defending a sex pest that he appointed knowing they were a sex pest.

Well played.

I am just loving your outrage about my post. It probably hit home. Where's the outrage about calling men, women and children risking their lives...an invasion?

And outrage about 'she'd wet herself'. Lol. There's something I'd prefer to say but restrained myself.

Good on you for sticking up for this truly awful woman

Notonthestairs · 04/11/2022 20:00

As always you have to focus on language and faux offence because Braverman doesn't have the answers.

Indeed Braverman is thoroughly benefiting from the distraction from her security breaches.

May as well also point out that it's a useful distraction from Truss's misuse of her phone and the subsequent Johnson sponsored cover up.

DuncinToffee · 04/11/2022 20:01

Will do janiie

My expertise of having been to airshows and chinooks flying over our house regularly will be welcomed Grin

Whatever rousette. I don’t think it's appropriate to joke about machine guns and refugees and neither do you.

I am pointing out the optics of a Chinook helicopter, a war helicopter, viewing the invaders from the air.

A truly awful nasty woman appealing to the fanbase.

It was odd to select a Chinook -
Chinooks are primarily used for trooping, resupply and battlefield casualty evacuation (casevac).

I imagine other helicopters were available.

Absolutely. The Government aren't offering anything new. In fairness a lot of work will need to be done to correct the current position.
I imagine a November focusing on immigration (whilst not actually achieving anything) rather than cost of living crisis suits the Conservatives & the media very well indeed.

Perhaps a chinnok was cgosen as the only helicopter large enough to carry The Bravermans ego?

Not for @Janiie who was offended in the summer by us calling a sex pest a sex pest, and not the Prime Minister for defending the same pest.
And by us calling a birthday party a birthday party rather than the Prime Minister and Chancellor breaking the law.

Blossomtoes · 04/11/2022 20:19

then the misogynistic 'she'd wet herself'.

Do men not wet themselves? I’m pretty sure they do.
