They're still nudging to keep us off balance.

Energy bills bear no reflection to the actual price of the product wholesale.

Food costs items rising randomly
not by pence but £££s.

Holidays abroad rising by 30%

15 minute zones

It's happening in the USA too

Governments enjoyed the control during covid and are dreaming up other ways to keep us fearful

They look odd As does the one ive seen from Chris Whitty that talks about going clubbing

EmmaEmerald · 01/03/2023 20:17

just yes, I know, but we knew all this was coming in March 2020 so it's easier to cope with. I make decisions in that framework.

Jennifer no, haven't seen that. Does sound odd!

I'm feeling anxious about it all.

@thenightsky . I don't once you see the hands of the puppeteers you regain the power of healthy scepticism and think fuck you I'm onto your game.

That's a good way to look at it. But then you think, what can you do as one person to fight?

My android app doesn't show people's pictures but I think for a very brief time it may have.
Additionally I don't have many people saved to my phone as their full name. Wouldn't he just have Boris Johnson saved as Boris? Unless he knows multiple Boris's

I strongly suspect, leave your phone behind when you go out and use cash. Also don't have smart home gadgets.

If a significant minority of us do these things, it will make the population harder to control.

110APiccadilly · 02/03/2023 11:18

(And now I sound like a conspiracy theorist.)

I don't think I am, really. I don't think anyone has sat down and said, "Let's get everyone spying I'm themselves all the time, then we can use their data to control them." I think these technologies have developed, mostly by companies who want to fill a gap in the market/ make some money/ etc., and then governments have realised what a wonderful tool for control they are. Who needs to introduce ID cards, if everyone is willingly tracking themselves? I don't think there's a big master plan, but I do think there's a serious danger.

110APiccadilly · 02/03/2023 11:19

Typo: meant to say "spying on themselves".

EmmaEmerald · 02/03/2023 13:49

I forgot to get a paper and now don't want to go out after work, tbh at that time they'll be sold out anyway. Has anyone got one?

Isabel is doing interviews and no one has issued a denial of those messages, is that correct? Amd still crickets on here

Taswama · 02/03/2023 16:07

Depressing but not surprising to hear that a lot of government policy (eg masks in schools) seems to have been - “let’s not let Nicola Sturgeon make us look bad”.

ISaySteadyOn · 02/03/2023 16:24

Drakeford was even madder than Sturgeon. No books, no birthday cards, no shoes or clothes for children.

I move house tomorrow - the pandemic and lockdowns fucked my relationship with this house so much it felt like a prison cell to me and I've needed to get away ever since.

ISaySteadyOn · 02/03/2023 18:19

Interesting that the more 'caring' leaders imposed the harshest restrictions.

Hope it goes smoothly. I am moving too but I have been lucky in that the years of good memories here have cancelled out the bad.

oh dear
the lockdown lovers are out in force on Twitter - complaining about the Eat Out scheme. There's no way to feel safe when the public feel like this.

That eotho caused an uptick in cases.
I remember keeping a close eye on cases the time and it didn't seem like there was a surge. It should be easy to go back and find the data.

I came across a really good twitter thread earlier pointing out that it was never explained to us why that first lockdown went on and on.
We were never told what they were waiting for. Full thread here and we'll worth a read.

Thanks Buzz
I didn't keep receipts at the time. I dithered but was too scared of what was unfolding and mostly had to manage all of that alongside the suicidal thoughts.

I think the public could have stopped this all along, I remember trying to help organise a protest in cars. Looking at the messages Lilico has found confirms that.

we're only ever a fool or two away from totalitarianism being welcomed with open arms.

justasking111 · 04/03/2023 17:53
