Darius pop idol

I've just heard that Darius has been found dead in an apartment aged 41.

It's not often celebrity deaths affect me but this one stopped me in my tracks. So sad. Such a lovely guy.

Shocking - just heard this too. I loved him in Pop Idol and went to see him in concert after. He was so so handsome.

Well that is sad. Bless him

We saw him in 'from here to eternity' and he was absolutely wonderful.

Gosh, usually I just do a momentary 'ah that's a shame' for a celeb death but I'm genuinely sad about this. He always seemed such a nice guy and he's so young!

I just read this, I’d only been thinking of him the other day. For all the cringe Britney audition he was very talented, extremely attractive and seemed a nice guy. Very sad about this one.

I just started a thread too - his Pop Idol audition was legendary. He redeemed himself with his talent. What a shame.

That's so incredibly sad. My family know his parents. I haven't seen them since before Covid but they were the loveliest people. My thoughts are with his family.

That is no age at all! I remember his Britney impression in the audition for Popstars and then he came back o Pop Idol.

Oh no, I remember as a young teenager listening to his album. So sad.

He was in Funny Girl with Sheridan Smith a few years ago and was very good. He was also very nice to us after the show when we asked for his autograph and a picture. Quite shocked by this news.

Oh. That is sad. His series is probably the last one I watched and I'm so out of touch I've no idea what he's done since, but I remember him.

I loved his voice. He was absolutely born for musical theatre. What a loss.

Can anyone remember the Big Band pop Idol album that all the finalists did? It was so good, Darius was my favourite. So sad he is gone.

I saw him in Guys and Dolls, he was amazing. Such a shame.
