Darius pop idol

I've just heard that Darius has been found dead in an apartment aged 41.

I also saw this and came straight here. So sad, and very young.

Such a shame. Had a bit of a crush on Darius back in the day, he was so handsome and always came across as a good guy. Really sad news.

Oh gosh. I knew him as a young child. He's same age as me.

So sad, far too young.

Very sad news. Gorgeous guy and seemed very nice in interviews. I was genuinely shocked when I saw this today. The report said there was no sign of intent or suspicious circumstances so they are saying it is unexplained. I really feel for his friends and family to lose him in the prime of his life.

Oh dear what a shame. It is suspicious, a suicide?

Very sad. His parents used to live round my way and we'd see him about the place now and again.

Thats just terrible.

I believe there is a big theatre scene there as well as a major music scene (Prince was based there).

Oh that's so sad. I saw him a few years ago in Funny Girl and he was fantastic.

He was terrific in funny girl (not so much Gone with the wind, but not much any of the cast could do with the awful material).
I was always surprised he didn't do more shows as he was tall dark and handsome with a gorgeous voice for theatre.

Oh no. I had a huge crush on him when I was certainly old enough to know better. That's so sad.

His music will always remind me of the hotel I worked in and the waiter I was falling for at the time. RIP Darius very sad x

I know his family tangentially, they are lovely. It is very sad indeed and I hope everyone has the support they need.

Age 41.

A branch of my family lives in Rochester Minnesota, I know it quite well and always surprised at the number of celebs that get spotted there - visiting the Mayo hospital as a centre for surgical excellence. Maybe he was having vocal chord surgery or similar?

Oh wow, I'm genuinely saddened by this.

I remember his original audition and then we he returned for another go.

This has hit me unusually hard. He seemed so lovely. His poor family.

He was so talented. I can still remember him singing "Make It Easy on Yourself" on pop idol. We voted for him every week and I went to see him in concert with my sister who was a big fan. Really shocked and saddened.

Oh my goodness, that's so sad. I loved his voice (and still remember the dream I had about him being a fitter in a bra shop!) His poor family.

Ah this is absolutely awful. 41 is unspeakably young. Darius always seemed like a really good person - and that audition in Popstars was absolutely iconic.
