Darius pop idol

I've just heard that Darius has been found dead in an apartment aged 41.

Absolutely shocked and so upset for his family, His mum used to ask us if we had voted for him every week when he appeared on the x factor. she was so very proud of him- as was all his family.
Such a talent, what a loss

Very sad news.

At the end of the Colorblind video when he’s in the car and looks back he very much resembled a young Elvis Presley.

And The article I read said he’d moved to Minnesota to live.

This is sad news, I took an interest in his career at the beginning because he lived quite near me and I thought he seemed lovely. This must be very difficult for his family and friends.

Had a massive crush on him after pop idol.

This is so sad. He was such a good singer.

In all seriousness, this is so sad. He seemed like such a sweetheart and very talented

Lots of people suddenly dying these days. Sad.

It really is terribly sad. My dad worked with his and he didn't live far from me.
He was a very talented and by all accounts lovely man.

Taken too soon. Very sad news.

The same age as me. Feels strange.

So sad. I remember standing beside him in Urban Outfitters in Glasgow and was struck by how tall he was.

So sad about this. Poor lad, no age. What a voice, he was such a good looking guy and he seemed so genuine. Rest in peace Darius.

Such sad news. I met him twice at the stage doors after Chicago and Guys and Dolls, and he was happy to sign autographs and have photos taken. Also saw him in concert on his Dive In tour. A very talented man, taken way too soon.

I loved Colourblind. Had a proper crush but hadn’t kept up with his career in recent years. His poor family, 41 is no age.

it's really weird - recently the very large company i work for, we have lost 3 fellas aged 41 and 42 suddenly. We were discussing it the other week and saying how it seems to be such a dangerous age for men to be alone. literally alone - 2 of the 3 were alone and found dead - heart (but one at least heavy drinker) and the other was a drinker but still couldnt be saved even tho he wasnt alone when he collapsed. its so so sad. No age at all any of them.

I saw him in Gone With The WInd - which was utter shite but he was amzing in it - such presence

Such sad news, he was a really lovely guy (met him through work a few times) and much more talented than he generally got credit for.

So sad, I had such a crush on him when he was in Pop Idol. He seemed absolutely lovely

I remember queuing for hours to see him at a meet and greet in Newcastle HMV when I was at university. He was so lovely.

some of his songs remain in my list of all time favourites.

RIP Darius. Your talent was hugely underrated.

Pop Idol was so big it really seemed part of my life, and they way he came back and grew up and showd his real talent. Just feels like one of those moment when you realise how old you are.

Thoughts are with his family and friends who knew him as a real person.

So sad. I may be confusing him with someone else but wasn't he involved in an awful car accident years ago? And he had meningitis that lead to a coma after drinking water from the Thames......... he's had some serious health issues.
