I'll believe it when I see it. They need him out the door now. He doesn't get to manipulate the terms.

Agreed. He shouldn't be allowed to stay until October.

Newgirls · 07/07/2022 09:45

Good

worst prime minister ever

clearly wants a summer in chequers so still won’t quite hand over the keys will he ffs

What do people expect to happen now?
How will your life change for the better?

MN might be a bit better, no more threads about how we can't call him Boris because he's not our mate/his hair/his wife. There will be a new one to scrutinize?

midsomermurderess · 07/07/2022 09:46

We have one of the best news services in the works, the BBC. Instead of pompously barking ‘source’, just bloody look at it.

“the mums and dads and watching this programme deserve …”
“the people of this country are basically Tories even if they vote Labour”

Steve Baker is an utter tosspot

He's deluded.
And apparently will be standing for leadership!

It's not about individuals.

SausageAndCash · 07/07/2022 09:48

I don’t understand this.

We don’t have a Presidential system, the Government is made up of MP’s and the party with the majority put their leader in as PM.

Surely it is up to the party whether he stays as PM, not him?

True maybe we can finally draw a line under the endless party gate threads too?

BodenCardiganNot · 07/07/2022 09:48

He is Donald Trump with a veneer of respectability and buffoonery.

Hear, hear! I suppose I should have said in the OP that I was listening to R4, but this isn't a celebrity rumour from Twitter.

Poor Carrie must be clutching the walls screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Boris, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

🤣🤣🤣

SisterSatan · 07/07/2022 09:49

Gutted to hear this. Guess this means whoever comes in will do damage control, Tories voted in in next Gen Election because no one fucking learns anything in this country.

Excellent work.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 07/07/2022 09:50

There will be a new one to scrutinize?

Trouble is, I'm not convinced a new one will be any better. They might seem it to start with, but then the filth will come crawling out

wandawhy · 07/07/2022 09:50

Surely it is more important to fill all the government vacancies than the leader of the Party (any party).
Will those who just resigned take up their old jobs to keep the country running?

Hrpuffnstuff1 · 07/07/2022 09:50

ilovesooty · 07/07/2022 09:47

We'll I'll rephrase, how will life get better?

Viviennemary · 07/07/2022 09:50

Not Sunak. He is too rich and clueless about ordinary folk.

Exactly, but maybe they will have better hair/wife/wallpaper etc? Grin

FlaccidCornFlake · 07/07/2022 09:51

@x2boys True maybe we can finally draw a line under the endless party gate threads too?

I hope we don't EVER forget that our grandparents were dying alone under this twat while him and his wife had constant parties with their Toff mates. Maybe then, just maybe, we can finaly kick these idiots out.

MermaidEyes · 07/07/2022 09:51

Best tweet I've seen today was from Have I Got News For You "Carrie Johnson faces a race against time after buying a wallpaper steamer from Tesco" 🤣

Puzzledandpissedoff · 07/07/2022 09:52

We don’t have a Presidential system

We don't have a written constitution either, and if ever there was a time when it's obvious we need one I'd say this was it

GCRich · 07/07/2022 09:52

I just want to know that he is going to be watched like a hawk by the security services for the next four months - the only possible reason he is not leaving now is that he has shit to clean up or shit to do.

Sparklingbrook · 07/07/2022 09:52

It must be important because they have taken Lorraine Kelly off air even though there's not a lot happening currently. Poor Aston Merrygold got up early for his interview and everything.

AmaryIlis · 07/07/2022 09:52

Leaving Johnson in power would be incredibly irresponsible. He has demonstrated time and again that he puts himself first. If he's in a position where he has nothing to lose, he could do unimaginable damage.
