@Rabbitholedigger Blair started the incredibly stupid PFI initiative. He didn't sell GP practices off to Virgin wholesale and hand over PPE contracts to his bezzie mates. And may I remind you that the Tories wholeheartedly supported the Iraq war? Tory fans do so like to forget that bit.

Starmer is wrong on Brexit, he's choosing to appease a group of older people who are stuck in the stone age. Personally I believe he should not.

But given a choice between his Labour party and the current shower of shit and everything they've done for the past 12 years, it's not rocket science.

I'm not sure he'd getting behind it as such.

More he's accepted it was the democratic will of the people by vote and therefore he's said he will not seek to change it. He will improve the crappy half a deal oven ready half baked one we have now.

I respect him for that.

I'm a remainer and left centric and think that's right.

Agreed, and he's grown up enough to be able to negotiate with the EU like an adult, especially since he isn't being held to ransom by frothing Leavers who want the hardest of Brexits. Mitigation is where it's at now.

He hasn't put his hat in the ring yet, unfortunately

But really we don't have remainders and leavers any more.

We did have but the truth is we left. There is no remain because we aren't in the EU to remain there.

This whole remainer stuff is just used by hard right wing to discredit people who disagree.

I really would like to see someone from whatever party in charge who realises that our current Brexit is a clusterfuck which is destroying livelihoods and damaging the economy and that we live in a world where international trade collaboration is the done thing. I'd like to see someone who will abide by treaties they have signed up to. I'd like to see someone who doesn't live by three word slogans.

I don't think any current Tory is that person though.

Agree with all that too.

It needs to be so,some who accepts brexit is done but knows it's a crap deal and breaks treaties and gets to setting brexit right - not who want to try and reverse it.
