Well that's the end of an era. I remember sitting in double Art listening to Steve Wright in the Afternoon (was Gary Davies before or after? We listened to that as well) on Radio 1 (FM - actually, possibly not even FM yet come to think of it).

Oh thank the lord! I listen to radio 2 a lot but can’t stand his style. He talks over people and makes such unfunny jokes.

Scott Mills and more Sara Cox is great news in my view

Vernon has been brilliant! So nice to hear some different music. He has a fab varied taste in music.

I like Zoe’s personality but she literally plays the same few songs every day, on repeat! The best bit of her show is when the listeners choose something new to play!

I like Sara but not her Radio show - I so loved Simon Mayo and his intelligent interviews and witty regular segments, book reviews etc. Sara’s show is just a bit childish and inane imho.

Bring back Simon Mayo!

Totally agree! Can't listen to him because of it. His signing over songs just gives me the rage.

Thank god, sick of him talking over songs and interviews. I once counted 7 interruptions of comments and stupid noises during one song! All because serious jockin was coming up. Actually complained but never heard back!

See, I'm the opposite! I just didn't really enjoy Simon mayo's show. I didn't really want to listen to book reviews on my drive home.

Confessions could be funny, but often missed the mark for me, and I would turn it over.

I turn Scot Mills off when he's doing Ken/ murdering Pop Master, he sounds like he's boring himself.
I guessing they got the gob covering Zoe Ball this week to actually make me miss her gasping for air.

I'm at the young end of the target audience, but I think being able to be understood should be a basic requirement of being a radio presenter; don't shout, mumble, remember your consonants and breathe quitely.

I'm clinging on for Ken Bruce, Gary Davies and the lack of adverts, plus my FM reception is better than digital.

That's the bit that puts me off Sara. She's OK, but there's already too much of real people doing mundane things all over thr media anyway.
