Am I remembering an ice cream that didn’t exist ??

I was sure in the early 90s I used to absolutely love an ice cream I think was called ‘Mirage’ ? Maybe I’ve got the name wrong as googling isn’t coming up with anything ??!!

it was a bit like a solero but lemon shaped 🤷‍♀️ Maybe I dreamt it .

Also - a lemon drink called ‘Gini ‘??? Or have I made that up too 🤣🤣🤣

No it was definitely just lemon but I keep googling and nothing comes up !! I’ve tried

It was definitely solero like in that it was ice cream within a fruit sorbet ish ‘shell’

Gini lemon drink when you google it comes up. The one that annoys me is I had a Peter Pan shaped ice lolly in Corsica in 1993 and I’ve never found any evidence of it!

I remember gini lemon. Cheaper than lilt, and sharper.

I'm pretty sure that solero used to be called something different (a la marathon and opal fruit)...could have been mirage?

I was thinking about Gini just the other day! They had an advert where a chauvinistic Spanish guy shouts 'No mas Gini!' to his GF and she goes out in sweltering heat to get him a can - but then she drinks it herself. I can remember that ad almost frame-by-frame (it depicted intense heat really well). I don't remember the lemon ice cream though.

I’m sure I used to get wibbly wobbly lollies - they were half red half yellow, can I find any evidence of them now though - such a pain when you can’t find something and you feel you might have imagined it!

It’s driving me mad I used to have them so much as loved them but I can’t find anything online and there are others from the same time !! Seriously thinking I have dreamt it up which is worrying as I spent a lot of time eating them 🤣🤣

I remember Wibbly Wobbly icecreams. The first time I bought one my DM insisted on putting it in the freezer for half an hour and kept periodically inspecting it, insisting that it was still soft.
The clue was in the title. It had a jelly like consistency and was never going to be frozen solid.

Maybe they weren’t around that long as I remember being upset when couldn’t get them anymore and then I had to have twisters instead 🤣
