Bozo on c4 news being interviewed one to one by Kristan Gurumurthy.

Interesting, given he's abroad and he normally tries to make someone else take the flak. I wonder if they all told him Big Dog was on his own on this one?

Ginajo · 24/06/2022 19:39

When I wrote to my MP when the Sue Gray report was published asking if he supports Johnson he replied that he does because 'he believes him'. He's already lost my vote with that ridiculous (self serving) response, but I wonder if he's still so firmly arse licking now.....

Braverman is quiet on FB today 🤔🤷‍♀️

She was spouting this nonsense on BBC News earlier today

Suella Braverman(Attorney General) - "It's disappointing to see that there's actually a dishonest electoral pact between the LibDems & Labour, & that's more worrying"

Maybe she has been reminded that it isn't illegal and that the Tories had a pact with the brexit party in previous elections.

But it isn't disappointing to have a liar who breaks the law as Prime Minister?

itsgettingweird · 24/06/2022 19:58

Well you can't deny if anyone was to know what it's like to be dishonest it would be her!

Shame she only likes it when it benefits her though 🙄

Can't get that link to come up with that

There will be an interesting battle played out in the 1922 - pro Boris candidates jostling with rebels to get control. Obviously they'll need to draw votes from the backbenchers so it will be telling when we see who has the upper hand.

I hear Prince Charles has offered them a lift back but intends to shut the door on them just before take off, giving them 'a cheery wave' as he and Camilla taxi off along the runway.

Luckily there's a hotel with lots of vacancies for long stays, as luck would have it.

Now that would be fun to watch.

Lonelycrab · 24/06/2022 20:39

Johnson's hair is looking really chlorine yellow. What has he/Carrie been doing to it?!

Probably hotline to Trump for hair care advice as well as advice for other things.

It really feels like rats deserting a sinking ship now.

Notonthestairs · 24/06/2022 21:09

"It really feels like rats deserting a sinking ship now."

Absolutely. The Cabinet will bunker down but support is draining away.

DuncinToffee · 24/06/2022 21:15

Well at least he got this right

NEW: Boris Johnson publicly criticises US Supreme Court ruling that overturns Roe v Wade

PM says: "I’ve got to tell you I think it’s a big step backwards. I’ve always believed in a woman’s right to choose and I stick to that view."

I guess it got him out of some tricky situations

OP posts:
Notonthestairs · 24/06/2022 21:22

Yes I thought the same on both counts.

itsgettingweird · 24/06/2022 21:24

Johnson actually does have some very hood fair and liberal socialist views on things.

The problem for me isn't his views as a whole person.

My problem is that Johnson thinks only his views and opinions matter and if people disagree or hold him account to general fairness his answer is to change laws, scream and shout, repeat sound bites and slogans or just downright lie.

It's annoying actually because the twats people I know who still defend him do so on the few sensible things he says as if that means he can he an absolute waste of a pay packet the rest of the time and the risk he poses to our country and the future of politics.

prettybird · 24/06/2022 21:44

I taught dh the word "gaslight" a few years ago, as he hadn't come across it, so I needed to explain what itmeant.

On that occasion, it was to do with describing what happens in domestic abuse.

He now uses the word correctly regularly to describe how BJ is treating his audience - whether that be the public, the press, Parliament.... Sad

Isn't it an indictment that the UK's PM not only gaslights the country regularly but gets away with it Angry - but hopefully, for the sake of democracy in the UK as well as its global reputation, his days are now numbered.

Notonthestairs · 24/06/2022 21:52

"Johnson actually does have some very hood fair and liberal socialist views on things. "

I think he'll say whatever his audience expects/wants. London mayor - go liberal. Big Dog of Brexit - go right. Not enough? Farage beating him? Go right a bit more.
Who knows what his real views are. I doubt he has any left to cling to.

tobee · 24/06/2022 21:58

Thanks for the link @WaitroseWoman

newnamethanks · 24/06/2022 22:07

He certainly does believe in a woman's right to choose as Petronella Wyatt can confirm. BJ believes in whatever is expedient at the time. If it benefits him personally so much the better. I'm watching a woman on TV weeping with joy that they'll be saving lives by banning abortions in a country where shooting up a school full of kids is becoming a rite of passage. Barking.

Or not ensuring that the kids they insist have to be born, don't grow up in poverty.

newnamethanks · 24/06/2022 22:27

So utterly grim. Men in charge of women's bodies and the amount of complicit women is scary. Just bloody awful.

echt · 24/06/2022 22:28

Thinking of of Boris Johnson's minimising of the recent by-election defeats, he's going to do a Trump, and have to be dragged out of Number 10, kicking and screaming.

Peregrina · 24/06/2022 22:30

And you just know damn well that if their underage teenage daughter gets pregnant or they get their mistresses pregnant, she will be shipped off to an abortion clinic PDQ. There will always be ways for the rich.

Notonthestairs · 24/06/2022 22:54

Absolutely Peregrina.

Absolutely. They'll have to prise his hands from the door frame.

Hope he doesn't have supporters willing to do the rest
