I hope I'm not being rude and perhaps I'm showing my age, but what is it with people wearing leggings the are wedged right into their butt crack? It seems like this is the current trend but it seems so vulgar 🙈

My DD does it - both up her arse and she doesn’t care if she has a camel toe. It’s the fashion apparently.

Bums are in. I couldn't have worn this in my teenage years as I've never had much of an arse, but I suppose it's similar to how I bought those "add 2 cup sizes" padded bras from la senza and wore bodycon tops to show off as much cleavage as possible!

Just the fashion isn’t it. Not for me so I don’t wear it because I like wearing big massive knickers. You don’t have to wear it either!

Although when I was young it used to be trendy to wear low rise jeans so your thong could be seen clearly over the top of the jeans.

I mean, it’s not necessarily for “the male gaze”. They probably wear the same leggings going out with their female friends family. Most teens wear them with an sweatshirt/hoody.

Beyond that, like 99% of things women do could be attributed to “the male gaze” which is a bit demeaning. I’m sure there’s something your teens do that someone would say is “for the male gaze”

Thankfully mens bums are also back in fashion, although thankfully not in leggings. Gone are the skinny jeans, unless you are ver 30 with a beer belly ( 🤮). Back are straight leg jeans which show off the perfect male arse.
DS17 found my DH’s Levi501s from the early 80s last year and started wearing them with his ex girlfriends encouragement. Now all his friends are wearing them.
So much better than the fashions of recent years. And particularly kinder on the eye than skinny jeans that look utterly ridiculous on men.
