I'll start. Simply because it's Sunday and I'm bored...

Group holidays - you couldn't drag me on one of these!! Hell

Festivals - the crowds, the hay fever, the sweat, overpriced everything, the constant queue for a rancid pop up toilet

Valentines Day - tacky, commercialised crap

Work Christmas Dos - I don't even bother going anymore. Too old to pretend I'm social

ScreamingMeMe · 05/06/2022 14:30

Any works do.
Getting my hair cut. I just want it over with asap, I don't want to be 'pampered'.

Buzzer3555 · 05/06/2022 14:41

Work celebrations- where i used to work they had Star Awards Evenings where all the smug bastards clapped each other.

Crinkle77 · 05/06/2022 14:43

Oh yeah family holidays too for me and spa days are soooo boring. No thanks! Girls nights out for me. I just can't be bothered. I don't mind going out for a bite to eat and a couple drinks late avo/early evening but then wanna be home by 8pm.

lucyapplejuicy · 05/06/2022 14:43

Bottomless brunches- feel like crap by 7pm pounding head and sick.

Spa days/massages- hate them not my idea of fun

Getting hair done- boring, often tell hairdressers to just dry it quickly instead of a blow. I often come home and wash it myself anyway.

iklboo · 05/06/2022 14:43

Agree with group / family holidays, festivals & Valentine's Day.

End of Year Awards do at work. Every time it's the same people who get them. It's like Greece voting for Turkey in the Eurovision - ironic cheers when they're announced.

New series of 'Reality' shows.

Agree with 'girls nights out' too. Going to any bars at night is awful to me to be fair. I don't mind a restaurant but stood around drinking or, god forbid, dancing is dreadful to me.

ofwarren · 05/06/2022 14:50

Any of those autumn/winter seasonal activities like picking your own pumpkin or going ice skating.

NYE. Just dislike it immensely
Festivals. Just no. A whole big no.

Malariahilaria · 05/06/2022 14:54

I used to love clubbing and dancing, too fat and old for it now but all the other forced social environments I totally agree with the rest of you. I feel like a bunch of extroverts got together and decided that all these things were 'fun' and 'required' and those of us that really aren't interested have been brow beaten by society to near death to attend and covid has broken the bonds.

I am very much enjoying saying 'no thanks but by all means you lot crack on' to all kinds of crap now. Works ra-ra awards are The Worst load of shite ever invented. Send the person a group email and a £100 M&S voucher and let us get on please.

Local weekend markets in middle-class areas of London. Truly, if I’d wanted to pay £8 for a tub of mediocre olives and £3.50 for a badly-made coffee I could do it on the high street, without having to add dodging dog poo into the bargain.
