I'll start. Simply because it's Sunday and I'm bored...

Group holidays - you couldn't drag me on one of these!! Hell

Festivals - the crowds, the hay fever, the sweat, overpriced everything, the constant queue for a rancid pop up toilet

Valentines Day - tacky, commercialised crap

Work Christmas Dos - I don't even bother going anymore. Too old to pretend I'm social

OP posts:

Here was me thinking that I was a freak of nature...... how lovely to find all the people who hate forced fun, having a laugh, small talk, over priced everything, queues, crowds, traffic, inferior cocktails ( that are overpriced).... seeing through the pretence of " bums on seats" and feeling for minimum wage workers having to service all this....

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 05/06/2022 14:46

Oh yes to new years eve!

Definitely. If you go out it's expensive, cold and crap. You end up just waiting for it to be over. If you stay in the telly is crap. Jools Hollands god awful show.

AngelinaFibres · 05/06/2022 17:27

Visitors staying for more than 2 nights. Being expected to visit someone else for more than 2 nights.

AngelinaFibres · 05/06/2022 17:32

Christmas day.
I love the build up , Carol services, Christmas trees, mooching in a Christmassy town, small get together with family. Love Boxing Day. Eat left overs and chocolates and watch good telly. Christmas day is a bit of a pain really. Find it quite stressful.

RuthW · 05/06/2022 17:34

Haircuts
Holidays

TigerRag · 05/06/2022 17:44

Fireworks

And almost everything mentioned in this thread

Afonavon · 05/06/2022 17:46

All of the above!

I dread the heat of Summer.
I hate going to the beach in the summer.
I hate going to the hairdresser, so don’t.
I hate nights out.
I dread any kind of socialising, even with family or close friends.
I hate shopping trips.
I have refused every hen do invite ever.
I hate days out.
I hate going anywhere new.

Aside from the Summer hatred, I guess the rest could be linked to my undiagnosed ASD.

Words · 05/06/2022 17:50

Christmas
Anything crowded or noisy
Junk food
Thé cinéma
'Pampering' bleurgh. Even the word is repellent!

Sillyotter · 05/06/2022 17:51

NYE
work do’s/Especially the ones that get masked as CPD
Christmas
Any kind of big group social thing
Takeaway food
Eurovision
Most tv

Smileyoriley · 05/06/2022 17:54

Hate NYE with a passion, also summer, musicals, fireworks, parties, this bloody jubilee, pizza, sport, in fact agree with most of previous posters except I do quite like spas, hairdressers and shopping.

chunkymandarincoulis · 05/06/2022 17:58

Manicures.

Had my nails done once, hated the experience, never again.

chunkymandarincoulis · 05/06/2022 17:59

Oh and another one...

Poncetastic coffee.

Riverlee · 05/06/2022 18:00

Christmas markets, craft fairs, etc - ie, any ‘market’ that has lots of stalls selling overpriced tat (although I don’t mind a proper market-town market)

WombatNo12 · 05/06/2022 18:04

mintbiscuit · 05/06/2022 15:25

OMG, I think I’ve finally found my people!

Yes!

OrangeBananaFish · 05/06/2022 18:07

Christmas dinner. It's just a glorified Sunday roast which I'm not a fan of anyway. I don't mind Christmas as much, but the day itself is usually not great.
Autumn. There seems to be lots of memes shared about dark nights and roaring fires. No I like long daylight hours.
Lazing on the beach or by a pool on holiday. I get bored after 10 mins. Much rather go for a potter.
Never have been to a spa and I don't intend to either.

OrangeBananaFish · 05/06/2022 18:08

Oh and school plays, but does anyone look forward to these?

Aseagullatemybaby · 05/06/2022 18:10

Clothes shopping - hate it!!

Anything to do with the Royals

Family days out/Family holidays - 3 very young kids all close in age make it almost impossible to enjoy 😅

Having to make small talk with my friends extended family/their arsehole friends at their bbq’s or parties (Jesus they’re hard work!)

ofwarren · 05/06/2022 18:11

OrangeBananaFish · 05/06/2022 18:08

Oh and school plays, but does anyone look forward to these?

I quite like watching my little ones in their nativity.

Titsflyingsouth · 05/06/2022 18:11

New Years Eve - crowded, expensive, completely over-hyped and often depressing.

SpiderVersed · 05/06/2022 18:12

“Flavoured” things, like seasonal flavoured teas or coffee with syrups etc.
My extended family know I like coffee so rather than buy me some nice beans they go for novelty flavoured ones “Christmas Roast” etc.

Why take a perfectly good food or drink and bugger it up adding artificial flavours?

Simonjt · 05/06/2022 18:14

OrangeBananaFish · 05/06/2022 18:08

Oh and school plays, but does anyone look forward to these?

Me, I’m the parent who can’t stop crying that everyone else is slowly inching away from.

SpiderVersed · 05/06/2022 18:15

OrangeBananaFish · 05/06/2022 18:08

Oh and school plays, but does anyone look forward to these?

I love them. Especially when it goes wrong, or you’ve got a furious tiny shepherd trying elbow himself some more space, or they’ve lost the cow costume so the stable has a giraffe instead (actually happened).

I love the inherent chaos of 60 small people in a pageant.

godmum56 · 05/06/2022 18:15

oh yeah i forgot fireworks...drone lights though...those are cool

Phoebesgift · 05/06/2022 18:15

My main one is Summer.
I'm fed up with people thinking I have some sort of personality defect because I don't enjoy summer.

Me too. Hate the heat, the smell of sweat, barbecues, the assumption that I'm weird and unsociable cos I don't care about going outside into the sun.

Mariposista · 05/06/2022 18:16

Clubbing
weddings
sushi
binge watching series on tv
spending a day in pyjamas
