Criticism is from labour supporters, people are in full support of the PM…..

Nice bit of dehumanising of anyone not following the party line there. BL is either fully under the brainwashing or consciously employing it as a tactic. I don’t believe there is a Tory spokesperson without a base knowledge of the effects of subtle language changes.

Abhorrent.

I know people who were anti brexit and Boris, lots I have no idea and two who were 100% in the Brexit/Boris camp.

A couple of weeks ago one of them said we need Boris out, was very upset on Monday when he didn't get the boot. The other one lasted out till Friday when they declared, "They didn't think Brexit through and look at the mess now." I resisted saying they were one of the ones who didn't think Brexit through.

I think the times they are a changing.

They wish.

To be fair and I can't stand the guy so don't want to be Wink, if you watch the full clip he goes on to say that none of his own constituents have contacted him to say they're not happy with BJ.

Now of course, those constituents who didn't vote for him might have given up contacting him as he just ignores them Hmm There again, how does he know which way they voted and whether or not they might be swing voters Hmm

Long may such arrogance reign: it will make them complacent in the run up to the next election whenever that might be Grin

And we believe him, of course. It's entirely plausible.

L1ttledrummergirl · 12/06/2022 12:27

So labour supporters aren't people? What does he think they are then? Non people, lesser people, beasts?

ancientgran · 12/06/2022 12:27

ApplesandBunions · 12/06/2022 12:03

And we believe him, of course. It's entirely plausible.

Wouldn't it be fun if someone from his constituency popped up and said, "I'm a lifelong Conservative voter and I contacted him to say Boris was rubbish and should go." There must be one, surely.

Poll from Lewis' constituency dec 2021

Following the news that Number 10 had a Christmas party and after everything people sacrificed last December, should Boris Johnson stand down?

YES 77%
NO 23%

Everything this government has done/is doing is being made much much worse by the stupid idea of terfing out moderate (and experienced) MPs.

Now of course they're threatening to punish MPs who didn't publicly back the PM after trying to get photos of ballots in a secret ballot.

Boris Johnson's government do obviously stupid, illegal and evil things. Everyone is ShockShockShock. Cue them doubling down.

tobee · 12/06/2022 13:04

I see Helen Hurford, Tory candidate for Tiverton by election says she would have backed Johnson in a confidence vote. Oh my god that's such a surprise! What, woman hoping to embark on a stella political career doesn't slag off new potential boss? Hmm

Thinking back to Graham Brady's instruction that any photographed ballot would be invalidated: if a VONC ballot was photographed by a Boris sycophant supporter, would that have been a way of ensuring that BJ won? Hmm

Peregrina · 12/06/2022 13:59

Was Brandon Lewis the twerp who thought that all Britons were entitled to an Irish passport? Or is that some other idiot in Johnson's party?

tobee · 12/06/2022 14:13

There's a panoply!

prettybird · 12/06/2022 14:20

No @peregrina - that particular gem came from the well-known intellect and expert on things European, Andrew Bridgen Hmm

How can you be " re - integrated" into somewhere you've never been to and have no connection with? Confused

DuncinToffee · 12/06/2022 14:42

Probably in the same way Russia wants to re-integrate Ukrainians

Let them eat gruel

www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/boris-johnson-shelves-free-school-27210879
At first glance this looks like a bowl of thin gruel being served up to families who are struggling to put food on the table.

At most this move would have cost £790m. Before a Johnson enthusiast cries that the country can afford it, it had no problem in finding £4 billion on unusable PPE equipment bought from their mates, and hasn't as yet asked their mates to return the money thus obtained.

A sensible Government would view feeding children as a pump-priming execise - healthier children will lead to healthier adults, which should save money on health care. But this Government doesn't do sensible.
