What a dreadful thing to be apparently having to toss Ukraine to the wolves.

The Ukraine war is a decision point — banks should stop funding the fossil fuel industry forever

Euromaidan PR
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has not yet confirmed the use of chemical weapons in #Mariupol, but said, according to the Azov Battalion, that the likelihood of Russia using chemical weapons is very high.

MagicFox · 11/04/2022 21:53

I wonder if there might be a hope for a future, born from Ukraine, where there is a global coming together in support of humanity and the planet completely. The death of fossil fuels, a renewed dedication to fostering global peace. It feels like a fork in the road and the other path doesn't bear thinking about. I hope we go the right way.

Sky news reporting chemical attack but not verified

@MagicFox I hope so, we don't have long to choose a new path.

I really hope all the foot-dragging over weapons doesn't mean Ukraine's amazing resistance has all been in vain. If Russia fails in Ukraine then China et al will find them a bit of an embarrassment. If they win it's going to embolden an unholy alliance. I fear that Russia is learning what is and isn't working and they have just sheer weight on their side. There's also the advantage of not having to care about all the niceties of legal warfare, avoiding casualties on your own side and caring about public opinion.

@EsmaCannonball I hope we give Ukraine everything they need to win this war. We can't let Russia win.

It does feel like the war between good and evil. Good will triumph, I do sincerely believe this, but only if indifference does not smother it.

@blueshoes it requires a collective waking up. It's our only hope I think

MMBaranova · 11/04/2022 22:37

Brief messages with relatives in Dnipro and a work related acquaintance in Odessa today. All OK, simmering with rage and am noticing more mentions of problems getting medicines. I think it is a mix of supply and cost issues.
