Being curious how many of you are thinking to vote Labour in May election just as a revenge to the superiority that carried by Tory?

I haven't done my research yet, so can't say certainly I'd do it. But they're lots of things we are not happy with the local council. Usually may not warrant a change of vote (probably just not bother to vote). But the whole partygate thing made me almost determined to vote Labour in May.

Tory didn't care what the public feel or think, carrying on to find excuses for their corrupted government. And that guy, that guy who's born as a natural lier, I can't even bear to hear his voice anymore. Something needs to be done, when their party refuse to change or at least show the public their remorse. I feel I need to do something.

How many of you feel the same?

I will consider voting Labour when they can tell me what a woman is.

sjxoxo · 13/03/2022 13:15

I’ll vote labour yes. x

DonNotKeith · 13/03/2022 13:17

2nd - agree, will vote labour when they can say what a woman is.

TerraNovaTwo · 13/03/2022 13:18

No. Labour will definitely NOT be getting my vote! Women do not have penises.

FlorhamPark · 13/03/2022 13:20

DrDetriment · 13/03/2022 13:20

I will not be voting labour. Trans women are not women. And I'm not a socialist.

Duntelchaig · 13/03/2022 13:24

Can’t vote Labour til they fix themselves. Sadly. Very disappointed in Keir Starmer. But - if someone had told me in 2019 that a Tory Govt would agree to pay millions of people 80% of their salary up to £30k to sunbathe (1st astonishing Tory decision) in a lockdown (second astonishingly unTory Un libertarian behaviour) to save the NHS (eh? What do they care about the NHS) AND give a (temporary but increase nonetheless) 20% pay rise to recipients of UC for months and months, I would not have believed you. I would like to be able to vote left of centre, but centre is key for a party that looks after the poorest and knows that sec is a biological fact. I am politically homeless.

thegcatsmother · 13/03/2022 14:01

As Labour (as pp have said), can't define what a woman is, I won't be voting for them. Why should I give my vote to a party that doesn't recognise me?

EatSleepReplete · 13/03/2022 14:04

Why should I recognise labour when they don't recognise me?

Sex and Gender are not interchangeable terms.

Redshoeblueshoe · 13/03/2022 14:05

When they can define woman I will consider it

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/03/2022 14:08

I'll be voting Labour. They're the only party who are a credible alternative to the Tories.

Anybody who continues to vote Tory needs their head/moral compass examined imo.

And enough with all the Transphobic crap too, already.

Return2thebasic · 13/03/2022 14:08

Ah, I haven't read news (trying to avoid for my own mental health) lately. Anything flared up about the trans thing wit labour? Huh, I would have to do the research before my vote!

Shame, I really can't stand that lier (those liers) in power anymore. No one can replace them?! Sad

No.

Local elections, local issues for me.

ParkheadParadise · 13/03/2022 14:11

I'm in Scotland in the past I have voted Labour/SNP.
I will be returning to vote labour in the next election.

Calennig · 13/03/2022 14:11

No - though that doesn't mean I will be voting Tory - though I might as they tend to be second party here but will be looking at all the other options.

Locally, nationally (Wales) and at UK level I feel very let down with Labour - partly that's what a woman is stuff but it's much wider than that.

I am disppointed with Tory sleaze but honestly they may be best of bad bunch - which in 2022 is bloody ridiculous but it does feel that's where we are.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 13/03/2022 14:11

But yes, I do want Kier Starmer to give his head a wobble on the what is a woman issue.

Gilead · 13/03/2022 14:12

It’s a shame that those of you not voting Labour over Trans issues are prepared to let the elderly and disabled die due to Tories lack of care.

ronjobbins · 13/03/2022 14:12

@TerraNovaTwo

Babdoc · 13/03/2022 14:12

Defending women’s rights to single sex spaces is not “transphobic crap”, Remus.
But accusing traumatised and vulnerable women of transphobia when they want single sex rape crisis units, changing rooms and prisons is very definitely gynephobic.
Accompanying that with rape and death threats, as so many trans activists have done in the past, is even more contemptible.

TheFnozwhowasmirage · 13/03/2022 14:13

I have always voted and have never voted Labour. I'd consider it if they recognise what women are and commit to protecting our rights and safeguards. Otherwise it'd be a cold day in hell before I'd vote for them.

IsadoraQuagmire · 13/03/2022 14:14

Why would any intelligent woman vote for a party that despises them and cares nothing for their dignity and safety?
Luckily I've never wanted to vote for them anyway (or Conservative, Green or Lib Dem)

Theworldsgonemad · 13/03/2022 14:15

No. Labour will definitely NOT be getting my vote! Women do not have penises.

Totally agree with this

Soapboxqueen · 13/03/2022 14:21

@Gilead

It’s a shame that those of you not voting Labour over Trans issues are prepared to let the elderly and disabled die due to Tories lack of care.
That would be the fault of labour for taking an ideological position that is misogynistic to its very core.

Not the women pointing it out.

Women are also included in the group elderly and disabled. Do you think they will be unaffected by the inability to request female carers or hcp? Be unaffected by having to spend time in mixed sex hospital wards?

We shouldn't be in a situation where we have to choose between basic care and basic dignity/safety but we are.

girlmom21 · 13/03/2022 14:22

I won't vote Labour until they're a party who stand for something.

I don't know how I'll vote.

OhMygodddd · 13/03/2022 14:22

Voting for labour is a vote against women and their rights to safety…I won’t ever do it!
