Being curious how many of you are thinking to vote Labour in May election just as a revenge to the superiority that carried by Tory?

I haven't done my research yet, so can't say certainly I'd do it. But they're lots of things we are not happy with the local council. Usually may not warrant a change of vote (probably just not bother to vote). But the whole partygate thing made me almost determined to vote Labour in May.

Tory didn't care what the public feel or think, carrying on to find excuses for their corrupted government. And that guy, that guy who's born as a natural lier, I can't even bear to hear his voice anymore. Something needs to be done, when their party refuse to change or at least show the public their remorse. I feel I need to do something.

How many of you feel the same?

Labour’s obsession with identity politics and utter lack of any critical thinking capacity on gender beliefs concerns me greatly. Whatever your views on gender identity, if they can’t discuss the issue honestly and clearly and if they keep on misrepresenting the actual current law as it stands simply because it doesn’t suit their ideals, then how on earth can they be trusted on any other issue? Hopeless.

MarshaBradyo · 15/03/2022 13:03

@DomesticatedZombie

IDK, it's a bit of a shame that we all end up in bubbles unable to associate with or be friends with people we disagree with.

Can we not at least agree that we all hate the Libdems and move on?

Grin

I am friends with lots of different people who have other political views

But if pp feels like that then up to them I suppose

DomesticatedZombie · 15/03/2022 13:05

Aye, sure, I just think it's corrosive to social fabric and also probably unhealthy to get so tribal and rigid about voting choices.

SamphiretheStickerist · 15/03/2022 13:06

@DomesticatedZombie

THAT WAS A JOKE
Too late.... you're on someone elses Naughty Step now Grin

Especially as we are all voting for the same bloody thing - the best we think we can get!

All else is detail...

Muppetlove · 15/03/2022 13:13

I'll be politically homeless until a party, other than the Tories protects the rights of women. One thing is for sure I definitely won't vote Labour for the same reason.

LostMyLastHatfulOfWords · 15/03/2022 13:54

@MarshaBradyo

And I still think a lot of what I'm reading here is transphobia, sometimes with genuine seeming concerns behind it and sometimes totally blatant.

This is a mistake imo

It is protecting women’s rights that is fundamental to me.

Yes - women's rights must be protected. Understanding women's needs is a step towards this. The labour party can't do it until they know what a woman is.

This is not a trans issue. Trans-men also need protection from (male) rapists/attackers ...even the ones who claim to be women. By not understanding what a woman is, the Labour party is endangering trans-men.

ScrollingLeaves · 15/03/2022 13:55

Will not vote Labour Greem or Liberal Democrat because if their stance on women.

Even if women’s rights pale into insignificance given what is going on with this war, to me it means they are stupid, and willing to tell an even bigger lie - TWAW- than Boris’s various lies.

Non Speak is dangerous and unsupportable.

Terfydactyl · 15/03/2022 13:56

@Gilead

It’s a shame that those of you not voting Labour over Trans issues are prepared to let the elderly and disabled die due to Tories lack of care.
Well if labour cared a whit about my grandmother being cared for by men when she wants women only(cunty type) care they could oh I dunno change their mind and keep sex as a thing, or you know stay out of power until they get that we are angry, we will not submit, and this will not end well if we are forced to give up our spaces any time.
roarfeckingroarr · 15/03/2022 13:58

No because I value Women's rights

Helleofabore · 15/03/2022 14:24

'strident'

Oh, aye. Some of us are dead shrill, too.

We are indeed!! Wink

How inconvenient.

Helleofabore · 15/03/2022 14:29

I am waiting to see the 'hysterical' card played, or have I missed it. 'strident' usually comes with hysterical when discussing women's opinions. Same old, same old just with a new sparkly wrapper.

MarshaBradyo · 15/03/2022 14:31

Not yet but we’ve had stupid

ilovesooty · 15/03/2022 14:35

Strident - loud, harsh, grating, excessively forceful.

Nothing to do with hysterical or stupid.

MarshaBradyo · 15/03/2022 14:41

That wasn’t the connection I was making

We’re talking about words that have been used not the meaning of one

SamphiretheStickerist · 15/03/2022 14:41

It's a variant on the usual Misogyny Bingo.

Helleofabore · 15/03/2022 14:46

yep. Misogyny Bingo. The usual derogatory words deployed to make women feel shamed and to STFU.

Shade17 · 15/03/2022 15:03

Not in a million fucking years would I ever vote Labour

ilovesooty · 15/03/2022 16:08

@Helleofabore

You put that interpretation on the word if you wish. I stand by it. I'm only responsible for what I say, not for how you perceive it. The same applies to you. You've said what you think is right and it's down to me how I perceive it. And it strengthens my conviction that single issue voting is something I have no time for.
Terfydactyl · 15/03/2022 16:15

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie

Has anybody asked Boris his stance on women? I suspect it's probably: Somebody I want to shag or No interest whatsoever
I prefer his honesty in that rather than anyone can be a woman just say the words. I mean kier has come off the fence, his arse must have been pitted with splinters. However he a well educated white man in charge of a political party is too scared or too stupid to say what a woman actually is. Matters not if hes fighting for his life here (hes not) but if he is too scared to say adult human female then I don't want what hes selling. And if its stupidity then why is he in charge of a political party, quite a large party at that?
Helleofabore · 15/03/2022 16:26

ilovesooty

Sure. It is clear that you find women discussing this issue uncomfortable and it clearly is not something you believe is worthwhile fighting for.

No one should be telling you who to vote for. If you do not 'have time for' single issue voting. Fine. You do you.

No one should be shaming anyone for their choice to cast their vote how they wish.

Return2thebasic · 15/03/2022 16:31

Some argued the threats to biological women are not real. I kept wondering if I was truly imagining it.

www.gbnews.uk/news/transgender-rights-row-breaks-out-in-commons-as-tory-mp-states-a-woman-is-an-adult-female/244804

“We should always respond positively to people with genuine gender dysphoria, and I deliver this speech with kindness in my heart. But the 2003 Sexual Offences Act defines rape as when, and I quote from the Act ‘a person intentionally penetrates the vagina anus or mouth of another person with his penis without consent’.

“Now, between 2012 and 2018, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) reports over 436 cases of rape recorded as committed by women. The penis is a male organ, so, these rapes are committed by men presenting themselves as women.”

And this is only the begging thanks to all those think anyone can declare they are women at their own will, as if it doesn't have any impact on others in this society. You keep reading news year after year that some innocent woman has been assaulted/murdered because there are male don't hesitate to kill just to satisfy their urge. When you opening a door to let whoever identify themselves as women having free access to women at vulnerable places/settings, how could you call that you care?

Being curious how many of you are thinking to vote Labour in May election just as a revenge to the superiority that carried by Tory?

As for why GC women choose to be the useful idiots here. God only knows

Well shit love, just keep those insults coming in. I mean the best way to persuade anyone that you have all the right answers is to just insult the fuck outta them, right, right?
Oh my days, how many women you converted to your way of thinking up to press, a whole 1 maybe.
