Being curious how many of you are thinking to vote Labour in May election just as a revenge to the superiority that carried by Tory?

I haven't done my research yet, so can't say certainly I'd do it. But they're lots of things we are not happy with the local council. Usually may not warrant a change of vote (probably just not bother to vote). But the whole partygate thing made me almost determined to vote Labour in May.

Tory didn't care what the public feel or think, carrying on to find excuses for their corrupted government. And that guy, that guy who's born as a natural lier, I can't even bear to hear his voice anymore. Something needs to be done, when their party refuse to change or at least show the public their remorse. I feel I need to do something.

How many of you feel the same?

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie

I'll be voting Labour. They're the only party who are a credible alternative to the Tories.

Anybody who continues to vote Tory needs their head/moral compass examined imo.

And enough with all the Transphobic crap too, already.

👏
MozzarellaMonster · 13/03/2022 14:23

Another Not voting Labour while they don't know what a women is.

Soapboxqueen · 13/03/2022 14:24

@girlmom21

I won't vote Labour until they're a party who stand for something.

I don't know how I'll vote.

Neither do I.

I usually only have the option of the labour, tory, lib dem.

Might just spoil my ballot.

Gilead · 13/03/2022 14:27

@Soapboxqueen. I am currently in hospital. Will be going home with a care package. Due to previous DV I have asked and been given a guarantee that all my carers will be women.
I also feel that perhaps it’s an argument that could be had after we’ve got rid of the Tories.

BluerThanRobinsEggs · 13/03/2022 14:27

Can't vote for someone who doesn't want my vote.

hattie43 · 13/03/2022 14:33

Will never vote labour

CuntAmongstThePigeons · 13/03/2022 14:35

I shan't be voting for labour until they know what a woman is. It's a shame as I'm a life long labour voter and ex party member, but they have made it abundantly clear they do not want my vote.

MindTheGapMoveAlong · 13/03/2022 14:35

I won’t support Labour with my vote unless and until they support and recognise women. Trans women are not women.

Calennig · 13/03/2022 14:36

@Gilead

It’s a shame that those of you not voting Labour over Trans issues are prepared to let the elderly and disabled die due to Tories lack of care.
I'm in Wales NHS has been run by labour here for over 20+ years and is by most metrics in a worse state than England.

I've also been made aware of extremely disppointing response of Labour MP to appalling treatment by police of a local disabled woman.

So ignoring the threat to mine and my DDs slim and hard won rights for such a nebluous promises doesn't seem appealing.

aghhinlaws · 13/03/2022 14:38

I was planning to vote for Labour but now I'm not. Let people who have penises vote for them since they are so determined to work every angle for them.

Taffiy · 13/03/2022 14:38

When they stop appearing on TV spouting crazy statements like males can be female with a straight face, I’ll vote for them.

Tryingtokeepgoing · 13/03/2022 14:39

I’d consider voting for them, if only they’d say what their policies are so I could make an informed choice. As they seem unwilling to do that then sadly I can’t vote for them either… running out of people to vote for 🤣

Takingabreakagain · 13/03/2022 14:39

I'm really struggling to find anyone I could vote for - normally a labour voter but couldn't vote for them at the moment. I'm hoping for a good independent candidate or else it'll be a spoilt ballot paper

KittenKong · 13/03/2022 14:39

Labour can whistle for it (as my grandmother used to say). They are wilfully pretending not to understand that woman means woman and nothing else. They are deliberately echoing US social nonsense and the tik tok generation (who egg each other on to eat bloody washing liquid pods for gods sake) in the hope of catching ‘the yoof vote’ (so are treating them like imbeciles who can’t follow actual debate or real issues).

They are like the worst student politics group ever.

I sincerely hope all of your carers will be women (and statisically they probably will be). However there have already been cases where women have asked for female hcp and have been presented with males who identify as women.

Some NHS trusts already have policies and procedures in place for dealing with the problematic women who object.

It would be lovely to get rid of the tories and just leave this discussion until later but I'm afraid the discussion is already happening. Labour have picked a side.

If they win, it will be used as evidence that single sex exemptions are not required by the public.

This is the difficulty for many Labour voting women. Its a shit show all round.

SamphiretheStickerist · 13/03/2022 14:41

Nope. I'll vote depending on whatever the local candidates come up with that best suits my own thinking.

I won't be buying into all the weirdly American politics of the individual, which really boils down to politics of the most emotive story. So all the invective about Johnson is about as persuasive as all the public statements made by Starmer. As in not at all!

I doubt it will be Labour. I sent my membership back a few years ago and have been politically homeless ever since.

Since transwomen are women there is no guarantee that your carer won't have a penis.
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/4503202-JK-Rowling-on-Keir-Starmer

A rape center cannot help raped women without having penis-havers present in the counselling sessions. Its being legally challenged atm. Open your eyes. Its happening right now.

I am not voting for any party that refuses to acknowledge my existence.

Nope not a chance whilst they refuse to protect Women's rights.

What if your "woman" carer is 6ft 3 with a beard and penis? Is that OK?

Hapoydayz · 13/03/2022 14:44

No, I couldn't vote for Labour as I am a woman and they don't know what that is and want my rights removed.

SamphiretheStickerist · 13/03/2022 14:46

@Gilead

It’s a shame that those of you not voting Labour over Trans issues are prepared to let the elderly and disabled die due to Tories lack of care.
The problem with that kind of chastisement is that it is never grounded in reality.

It's not "trans issues" it is the dismantling of women's rights. I see the repercussions every day in the charity group I work in... finding funding for a crisis centre and refuge for women fleeing DV.

BankingOnChange · 13/03/2022 14:46

I'll be voting Tory.

I'm not particularly thrilled at the thought but it's the only possible way of stopping Labour getting in - a vote for any other party would be a dead one.

The thought of what Labour would do to women's and girls rights and services scares me more than anything Tory have done.

That's starting to resonate with me, and I hate Starmer all the more because of it.
Hospedia · 13/03/2022 14:48

Why would any intelligent woman vote for a party that despises them and cares nothing for their dignity and safety?

Because I don't hate poor people, the disabled, and the elderly and because I want a leader who actually looks and acts like a leader rather than a hungover journalist who doesn't own a comb and is an international embarrassment.

The whole trans thing is a red herring and is not the hill I'm willing to die on when it comes to voting.
