Another daily project

Last year there was a lovely long running thread about doing one thing a day that you've been putting off, or just to enjoy the cumulative effect of one extra daily 'thing'.
I'd like to start again, if anyone would like to join me.

Today, I have pulled out a drawer of a little used bureau cabinet, got rid of what is junk, and wiped the drawer out and organised what's left a bit more neatly.

Today, I have washed my net curtains and now they are flapping away on the line Smile

Continuing my monologue. Today I cleared off and cleaned my dining room window sill.

Hi! Can I join you please? Work has taken a lot of time lately and I want to get back to improving the house!

Lio · 10/03/2022 20:47

I have matched up all the Tupperware-type lids with their boxes, and put the unmatched stragglers in a separate place (I also have a drawer where odd socks wait for their other halves to show up).

I might not be able to achieve such magnificence every day.

Solosunrise · 10/03/2022 22:09

Hello! Smile
The more the merrier!
That is some magnificence @Lio. I have a cupboard of tupperware, think that might be tomorrow's thing

Pay fine for going in the wrong lane (always fun)

Get rid of storage unit in kitchen and plastic toy kitchen

Use the new plant pot

There are loads but it's exhausting just thinking about it.

Solosunrise · 11/03/2022 07:39

Oops @Takenoprisoner I'd get that fine out of the way first!

I'm attempting to get back into daily routine, but I also found on joining the one thing a day thread last year, that it's useful to pick just one job on top of it that will stay done for a while.
Long to-do lists overwhelm be a bit and then I tend not to do any of them.
Today I cleared out my tupperware cupboard while I waited for kettle to boil, instead of usual Internet scroll 😇

@Solosunrise

Yes, will pay it today! I mean it's not like it's going to go away is it?

Go you, with your decluttering while the kettle boils!

Fines are so frustrating aren't they Flowers Wrong lanes/those yellow boxes sometimes catch us out don't they? I live rural and really have to concentrate when I drive in the city.
I also achieved a shiny bathroom today!

I’ve thrown out 18 months worth of repeat prescription paperwork that I now do online.

Always such a good feeling to have a good paper declutter Smile

Today, I cleared my dining room table which often ends up as a dumping ground. The plan is to keep it clear now....

Today I have emptied out the awful basket of children's shoes in the porch and put them in one of those long thin toy net things so now I can actually see what shoes they need!

I'm now resting, but also eyeing up the next horrible task...

Hippywannabe · 12/03/2022 13:21

I have listed several things on ebay. So far thi month I have made over £200 after fees and postage by selling my fat clothes.

strelitzialady · 12/03/2022 13:21

And clearing a dining table is an EPIC task - well done!!

I’d like to join in please. I moved house last summer and still have unpacked boxes/things shoved in corners.

Today I potted some seeds and actually LABELLED my efforts! Grin

Solosunrise · 13/03/2022 17:22

I am very impressed, @EdgeOfSeventeenAndThreeQuarter!

Welcome, too! Let's hope we can help you with your moving boxes Smile

Me too please! Today I need to pay the removal company. I also took my toddler to the zoo whilst heavily pregnant to give my DH a break.

Yesterday the dog was bathed - annoyingly the day after I cleaned the bathroom!

merryhouse · 13/03/2022 17:35

Today I sewed up holes in the seams and elbow of a nice wool jumper.

Did parts of two other wool jumpers as well but cba to finish (and my eyes and the light were going).

Nnique · 13/03/2022 17:36

Hello all, I like this idea!

Today I moved the spice and herb jars from two smaller trays (one on the counter, one in the cupboard) and consolidated them all into a bigger basket in one of the deep drawers. Makes better use of the space in three locations and it’s more convenient.👍

SingToTheSky · 13/03/2022 17:41

I have decluttered the kitchen a lot today. More than one bin bag of rubbish, and lots of recycling out.

Solosunrise · 13/03/2022 17:43

Some fabulous little projects going on here! Well done everyone Star
I'm so glad to have some company. I might just go and put my shower curtain in the wash for a Sunday double!
