The invasion continues - Thread No.4

You are well known for your extreme right conservative political views. Which in a way surprises me considering Putin is, like Trump, very right wing.

I suppose for you is a question of alliances now instead of supporting your right wing ideology - Putin is Russian, bad, Trump is American, good.

Not sure how you digest that but Flowers

My goodness my last post of support to another poster has clearly rankled you.

You are now sure you know my voting preferences. You are wrong I’m fairly central as it goes. Big supporter of Labour for a fair while (not the illegal war though). Voted Remain and wanted Trump out - all posted on here at some point so you are imagining a lot in your head re me.

I know you have to think this to position to justify where you sit but yes I think this is Putin’s war. If your reaction to my very calm supportive post on this is as such maybe check why it makes you so angry.

For those, like me, wanting to know more about the history (ancient and modern) of Ukraine and Russia, there was an excellent panel explaining and discussing on BBC Radio 4 this morning

Ukraine: How did we get here?

Lasts 30 minutes. Well worth a listen

Just going to post Putin playing the piano badly - now blocked in UK !

MarshaBradyo · 01/03/2022 14:12

Alondra out of interest why didn’t you respond to the poster who is annoyed at your position?

Instead of making up stuff

Andouillette · 01/03/2022 14:16

Alondra. I am not quoting your post. I will say this. Congratulations for posting so many words to say nothing that any reasonable person would not have worked out from your previous nonsense. You are a moral highgrounding disgrace and should be ashamed.
I am heartily sick of these great and informative threads with posts mainly from sensible people who are able to disagree, debate and sometimes look at things in new ways being derailed by apologists like you. As we say in Scotland "away an' bile yer heid".

Ha ha! I don't think I have ever heard piano playing which gave me absolutely zero feelings whatsoever.

A clear case of the quality of the piano being totally out of proportion to the skill of the pianist

I read somewhere that Bolsonaro spoke in support of Putin. So if Putin does find himself retired then perhaps a nice Palace in Brazil will be a suitable place for him. What with Covid having gone so well there.

Aye, and he will have all the time in the world for piano practice on the verandah.

I follow political threads in MN, done so for years. I don't often participate but you posting political views are obvious to anyone following political threads on this site.

Stop being disingenuous. I prefer frankness.

HumbleBumbleLady · 01/03/2022 14:24

I’ve just seen Belarus have joined the war with Russia. I have a feeling NATO will get involved very soon.

RedToothBrush · 01/03/2022 14:25

SkyNews expert thinks the convoy will reach Kyiv in about 24hrs. Thinks its a sign of growing Russian confidence.

(of course it could also be so none of them get lost / desert on the way too).

Apologies if already posted but a couple of interesting links

Well since you seem to interested in me (bizarrely) go and look at posts around 2016 referendum and then re Trump

I was fairly nervous about both - either Remain losing or Trump winning and recall posting those feelings.

I get you think you ‘know’ me but you don’t -thankfully given the interest

And anyway another poster attacked you not me. Why didn’t you respond to them?

yoolia · 01/03/2022 14:28

That's old news, and Belarus getting involved is hardly unprecedented. They are Russia's puppet.

Another interesting thread about the apparent lack of information given to Russian troops: twitter.com/DAlperovitch/status/1498666351287754758?s=20&t=uBORWkVvl7qTuatgQ_hLlg

No. He's 'got a hobby'
Fucking cyclist.

Think he is going to need to find an indoor hobby now.

Outdoor pursuits (inc semi naked horse riding) are definitely off the cards!!

Stop posting informative salient academic views. They're not allowed, what we need is gossip, side swiping and a dash of moral authority.

It's all about archetypes, goody and a baddie innit.

He's never been a cyclist, he loves hunting, weight lifting, swimming and is a keen dog owner... one that leaves behind shit wherever he goes..

Can't he just take up Call of Fucking Duty like everyone else then instead of having to do it for real?
ChardonnaysPetDragon · 01/03/2022 14:37

is a keen dog owner...

There is always one. Can we all doggie bag card carrying dog owners unite and denounce him?
