Of all royal patronages and military titles.

Guess mummy has finally had enough.

That's such a shame, can we not do the same to Harry,
Why, what did he do that was so awful ?
LadyPenelope68 · 13/01/2022 17:54

Not really into the royal family, but I do feel very sorry for the Queen. She’s an elderly lady, still mourning the loss of her husband and to have a son like this. I think it’s very sad.

And her favourite too by all accounts. I wonder if she regrets indulging him so much over the years...

I wonder if he will be allowed to play a role in her funeral when the time comes. That will be a head scratcher for Prince Charles.
He’s still her son. She’s still his mum. I’m no fan of Air Miles Andy, but it would be incredibly cruel to exclude him from her funeral.

@DisforDarkChocolate

Maybe because most parents (HRH) included don't want to believe that their DS is a wormy scumbag. At least she didn't wait for the trial.

I am glad it's done, better late than never. And yes I too would have preferred if it had been years ago. My reference was more to the current political circus with BJ.

@FlibbertyGiblets

The BBC website says handed back not stripped, indicating he chose to rather than had them taken? Idk the importance of the phrasing?
They could both be true. If he was told that he had to hand them back and he did so, then he was stripped because he had no choice but he also handed them over willingly. They're probably using the more dignified phrasing.

I don't blame Harry and Meghan for bailing on this crowd ! He hasn't done anything as bad as these allegations are. Just decided to live a different life.
Leave them out if it.

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 13/01/2022 17:58

The Queen has never put a foot wrong so why can't her menfolk just keep it in their pants for 5 minutes. It isn't hard.
He is an absolute disgrace.

Mmm hmm, facing accusations that you raped a trafficked 17 year old is the same as falling out with your family and moving to your wife's home country.

So deliberately forcing parliamentary bills to be changed in her favour because she gets to view them before they're even presented to the elected representatives of our country is 'never putting a foot wrong' ?

Interesting.

I wonder if he does go to court if they will turn the heating up loads to see if he sweats! Could they do that? Shock

BiscuitLover3678 · 13/01/2022 17:59

Oh goodness. You’ve got to wonder what goes through the Queen’s mind. Horrific.

FlibbertyGiblets · 13/01/2022 18:00

Thank you sliding. Great explanation, much appreciated.

Well said. Prince Harry has bugger all to do with this

KenAdams · 13/01/2022 18:00

MN keep moving these threads to the Royal Family section. Can we leave this one here please?

ArbleMarchTFruitbat · 13/01/2022 18:00

He's tried every trick in the book to get out of this. I'd think marginally better of him if he held his hands up to what he's done.

No chance of that, though. Accountability and the so-called upper-echelons of our society are strangers to each other.

SockFluffInTheBath · 13/01/2022 18:01

I’ve read handed back, not stripped. I wonder if it’s a strategic move to reduce access to the Royal coffers. As a private citizen he’ll soon run out of money on legal fees, security etc and may even be bankrupt by the time a settlement is requested.

ClaudiusTheGod · 13/01/2022 18:01

In ye olden tymes he’d have been given a pistol, or a sword, and told to find some woods and go off to do the decent thing

You sure? Any examples?

Lockdownbear · 13/01/2022 18:02

@Aroundtheworldin80moves

That thread title could have had a totally different content.... Blush for the way my brain works!

Its good to see official acknowledgement that he has behaved in a completely unacceptable way.

Hahaha

I think for consistency it needs to be moved as well.

Otherwise it might come across as there was some sort of editorial bias or something.

They were quick enough to hide the oh so boring brexit discussions.

Unfortunately I think the problem is he genuinely thinks he hasn't done anything wrong. He's basically spent his whole life getting away with things and living the life of Riley at our expense - and that's coupled with him not being wildly intelligent.

I suspect he's partly bewildered and partly outraged that a 'commoner' has dared to do this to him and how very dare they ?
