A ha ha ha ha.

I actually think this is a good punishment - public humiliation and disgrace.

It is fitting for someone who abused their power in the expectation of being immune from consequences.

The Queen is 'HM' not 'HRH' btw.

That's such a shame, can we not do the same to Harry,
How can you tar Harry with the same brush as Andrew. all Harry has ever done is try to protect his family its not the same as breaking the law.

Viviennemary · 13/01/2022 18:35

He hasnt lost the HRH. Only the right to use it. Not nearly good enough IMHO.

JugglingJanuary · 13/01/2022 18:35

@Aroundtheworldin80moves

That thread title could have had a totally different content.... Blush for the way my brain works!

Its good to see official acknowledgement that he has behaved in a completely unacceptable way.

Mine too! Much relieved is not something one has to see frankly!!
Talia99 · 13/01/2022 18:35

@AtrociousCircumstance

How’s about Ponce Andrew? Or Nonce Andrew? Fits better.
Apparently twitter has gone with NoncyDrew Grin
Nanny0gg · 13/01/2022 18:36

@Aroundtheworldin80moves

And I presume he will stay in the line of succession too.
Possibly. But he's 9th so we're ok
sadpapercourtesan · 13/01/2022 18:36

@Nanny0gg Arf, what would you expect them to say? In the Royal Family, being able to spell your own (ridiculously overblown) name is a sign of exceptional intelligence. They're all as thick as custard.

Nanny0gg · 13/01/2022 18:37

@something2say

Who will pay his legal fees?
His Swiss chalet is up for sale

I'm not really one to comment on RF boards but I am not sure about feeling sorry for the queen.
It's not something that has only just come to light, the RF have known for decades about this. It's only Now that it's going to trial(I think) that they have been forced to act

NellieWellietheEllie · 13/01/2022 18:39

Harry is at the opposite end of the scale to Andrew. Andrew relied on the establishment and old school patriarchy to protect him, but eventually got caught, until they couldn't protect him anymore. Harry railed against the establishment and refused to conform, so the establishment withdrew its protection and threw him to the wolves. I suspect Harry is a far better man than Andrew, from what we know, Andrew has certainly acted worse.

I was about to post the very same! Initially couldn’t work out who some posters were talking about.
Theoldcuriosityshop · 13/01/2022 18:40

He has only lost the HRH in an official capacity, in private he is still HRH.

Nanny0gg · 13/01/2022 18:40

@toomuchlaundry

Will they stop paying him money too, or does that stop when he stopped being a working royal?
The Queens funds him personally as far as I'm aware. He's not had anything from the Civil List
cleocleo81 · 13/01/2022 18:41

Good. I assume this means she can no longer depend him and that she knows the evidence is overwhelming

StarbucksSmarterSister · 13/01/2022 18:41

can we not do the same to Harry,

Harry WAS stripped of his patronages and military titles. And no longer uses his HRH.

And basically all he did was emigrate.

JanuaryBluehoo · 13/01/2022 18:41

I feel Sorry for the daughters.

It's absolutely not their fault at all, they will want too love and support theirs dad and believe what he tells them.
Unfortunately public information will be making them challenge what he says.
It's awful for them.

You can't expect them to stop loving him. Both parents leave a lot to be desired, usually one parent is a good egg..

MollyPea · 13/01/2022 18:41

Just a thought but maybe save your pity party for the literal child he allegedly enjoyed using for sex in his 40s and not the Queen who has bankrolled him throughout (using tax payer £) :-/

The Civil List was abolished 10 years ago.

user1641832968632486258 · 13/01/2022 18:43

Our culture and legal system value men's reputations above women's safety. In that context, to trash his reputation in this way is powerful.

That is why he was able to get away with this. Why his victim has such limited recourse against him. Why he felt able to act in this way.

His reputation was valuable to him and something he felt should protect him from consequences and place him above question. This absolutely trashes it in a way that will stain him forever.

That is perfect and what he deserves.

MollyPea · 13/01/2022 18:43

Again, why are you directing your pity at the daughters who have enjoyed an absolutely charmed life and will continue to do so, rather than the hundreds of children abused, assaulted, groomed and raped by Epstein and his associates? Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️

TheWernethWife · 13/01/2022 18:43

I feel that Charles and William have had a hand in this.
