I don't know if I'm in awe or outraged Grin

My kid has just given me the most epic Christmas list

Hahaha get your credit card ready, OP 😂

Mine is 8 and currently wants (in descending order):
Baby sibling
Dog
Cat
Hamster
Nintendo Switch
Clockwork hamster in a ball

Thank god I managed to get that toy hamster for £6 in the Entertainer, eh 🤣

Ahhhhhbisto · 11/11/2021 12:35

What an epic list! That has made my morning, thank you Grin

And what lovely handwriting too.

HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 11/11/2021 12:35

Ahhh I think that’s quite lovely! There’s something really rather sweet about the hopefulness/optimism paired with the acknowledgement that yeah it’s not all going to realistically be possible...

TillyTopper · 11/11/2021 12:37

Brilliant!!

HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 11/11/2021 12:37

And I agree, great handwriting! He definitely deserves a 340cm teddy bear for that!⭐️😆

Thatsplentyjack · 11/11/2021 12:39

REAL diamond chain, but don't get that it's too expensive! 🤣 love how uts been put there though, you know, just incase you do have a spare couple of grand lying around and do want to get him it.

lunarlandscape · 11/11/2021 12:41

@ShirleyPhallus

I like that he’s written “Nike airmax (trainers) (from Nike)” just in case you’re so old that you have no idea what Nike is
Oh I read that as 'Don't try getting them from some dodgy fake stall down the market!' I'll know.' Grin
SirenSays · 11/11/2021 12:41

Those teddies are so popular, I'll be honest I really want one for my dogs!

DockOTheBay · 11/11/2021 12:43

@IncyWincyGrownUp

9 has a list going on, using the whiteboard. Fluffy socks have been crossed out as his older sibling donated a pair to the cause, but neatly crossed out because more are always necessary:o
Wonzies 😍
ShowOfHands · 11/11/2021 12:45

My DS is a year younger. He wants:

A pogo stick
A chocolate orange
A second chocolate orange
Boxer shorts
JK Rowling's Christmas Pig book
The second Tom Fletcher Christmasaurus book
A Beano annual

I'll enjoy this year while it lasts!

Hemingwayscats · 11/11/2021 12:45

Brilliant, loving the ‘don’t get cause it’s too expensive’ caveat but he’s still added it to the list regardless Grin.

Be grateful he’s actually given you some ideas. My 11 year old DS has only asked for a new computer mouse, I’ve had to make everything else up!

Creamteayesplease · 11/11/2021 12:46

Love the optimism!! Over the last couple of years my kids lists have centred around 4 main areas/presents: something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read!

It helps to focus the mind as my kids have got older (9 and 13) - and hopefully helps them appreciate their gifts that little bit more! x

TheNoodlesIncident · 11/11/2021 12:47

@closedown

Personally I'd go with "outraged" purely because he/she used lined paper but wrote perpendicular to the lines. Who does that??
I was screaming internally through the whole thing, because who does that?! Grin

My child doesn't write lists and when asked what he wants, can't think of anything. I don't know if the agony of that is worse than the request of diamond necklaces and designer gear...

SafeMove · 11/11/2021 12:48

My 10 year old DD put £1000 on her list (and a horse) with a winky face. Never going to happen. When I asked what a 10 year old could possibly need a grand for, she very seriously said 'Premium Bonds' Grin

ApolloandDaphne · 11/11/2021 12:48

That is so funny. I really miss those days.

Kanaloa · 11/11/2021 12:49

Why is pyjamas ‘really want’ and AirPods is ‘don’t mind’ 😂

At least they’re optimistic. Also love that he specified a diamond chain is a bit pricey just in case you had run out to the jewellers.

Kanaloa · 11/11/2021 12:50

@BornInAThunderstorm

He was so specific about the teddy I think you really ought to make that a priority! Not sure how you will wrap it though…
Don’t wrap it up. Have it sitting on the couch wearing a Tommy Hilfiger tracksuit and three diamond chains.
StillWalking · 11/11/2021 12:51

These are brilliant. Love that the OP's kid added the comment about expensive!

@idontlikealdi ... I think yours might want a horse!! but is also aware that it will need "horse stuff" ... Smile

(I'm a horse owner and currently looking for another one ... be prepared to lash out 5 figures for anything decent!!)

MusingOnStarlight · 11/11/2021 12:52

He’s practicing manifestation. Writing down what he wants 😂

HelloTreeWindow · 11/11/2021 12:52

Oh man, you have to get them that giant teddy if budget allows if nothing else, and make them keep it in their room, they’ll never ask for anything ever again when they’re annoyed with it 😂

MistandMud · 11/11/2021 12:53

This is genius.

dottiedodah · 11/11/2021 12:55

ShowOfHands What a lovely little list!

ElephantOfRisk · 11/11/2021 12:55

My eldest asked for a nuclear reactor when he was about that age. I don't know what he wanted it for and to be honest I don't want to know - he's 21 now and has never asked again. I'm not sure if that is something I should be worried about Grin

diddl · 11/11/2021 12:55

@Winterfellismyhome

Haha "dont get cause very expensive" is adorable
Reverse psychology?Grin
Lockdownbear · 11/11/2021 12:56

Op that is brilliant, thanks for the giggle!
The teddy is awesome.
