I don't know if I'm in awe or outraged Grin

My kid has just given me the most epic Christmas list
OP posts:

@stingofthebutterfly

At least you can work with that. My 11 year old's list consists solely of socks, pants (yes, she has both of these things...), and a (real) dog. I 100% guarantee the last one isn't happening but I would love something else to go on!
The humble first two requests are to coerce you into getting the third one 😂😂
mogschristmascalamity · 11/11/2021 14:09

DD has asked for Stabilo Boss Highlighter pens. None of the cheaper highlighters for her. Makes a change from Blu Tack I guess.

She also wants a DVD and a' big girl christmas adventure book' (ie no pics). I've got a few more years before the parents have unlimited budget phase.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 11/11/2021 14:11

I love the asterix with instructions NOT get it Grin

How long will she last without the socks...? 😂
MintyGreenDream · 11/11/2021 14:11

Of course it's imperative that they get diamonds instead of cubic circonia. Can't fault it.

scarpa · 11/11/2021 14:11

Hahaha, bless him for the optimism.

Mine when I was 8 was:

  1. Horse (gold)
  2. Meeting with the Prime Minister
  3. Chicken nuggets

I'd been reading Linda Craig books, wanted to be in charge of the country and thought I'd get myself an 8-year-old's apprenticeship with Tony Blair, and was rarely allowed to go to McDonalds...

Bumpsadaisie · 11/11/2021 14:13

Hope springs eternal 🤣

After all, the squeaky gate gets the oil.

Mine is 10. His list is a shed load of tech, AirPods, Nike, Xbox vouchers....

... topped off with "Jelly Cat super soft Lily the Snow Leopard".

He's still mad about jelly cat teddies and their softness!

Shannith · 11/11/2021 14:14

That's a brilliant list.

DDs (10) is

Another puppy that's not black and bigger (she has one already)
iPhone 13 pro
Pony
Terry's Chocolate Orange

I mean, good luck with that.

TableFlowerss · 11/11/2021 14:30

😂🤣😂 brilliant

MissDollyMix · 11/11/2021 14:37

I love this! I immediately guessed an 11 year old boy because these are exactly the kind of things my 11 yo DS would put down! Bless them. It's a strange age, stuck somewhere between child and teenager.

TaraR2020 · 11/11/2021 14:42

I love this - you need to save it for posterity! Love that he's a would-be rapper but really wants a massive Teddy bear (presumably for massive hugs)

Mine asked for a vegetable and condiments. So of course said vegetable and condiments have been added to the food shop to be wrapped and put under the tree.

ThanksIGotItInMorrisons · 11/11/2021 14:54

My kids made me an online presentation complete with pointer, graphics and speech!!

ArabellaScott · 11/11/2021 14:59

That's very sweet, OP. Smile

My DS' list is so painstakingly curated. It's unbelievably specific, down to the colour of the lego blocks and fabric composition of specific clothing items. And by god it is long. And ambitious.

It's his masterwork.

Awww he’s going to get far in life! Knows what he wants and recognises different levels of quality
julesover40 · 11/11/2021 15:07

That's hilarious, love the sub headers, very organised 🤣
@ think they might be after a horse 🐎

pastypirate · 11/11/2021 15:24

@ShirleyPhallus

I like that he’s written “Nike airmax (trainers) (from Nike)” just in case you’re so old that you have no idea what Nike is
My favourite item too.
Nc123 · 11/11/2021 15:32

I love this.

DS3 (aged 7) started off his list with “a labrador puppy”.

We’ve literally just got another kitten, we can’t be getting a puppy for a while!

caringcarer · 11/11/2021 15:33

I have a 15 year old who says he doesn't really want anything. He always does this then some years on Xmas Eve he will suddenly decide what it is he wants. I have suggested so many things. Last year was easy because he wanted an enormous cricket net and bowling machine. He uses it everyday. He says he does not need any thing else had had basketball hoop and ball for birthday. Help me out with suggestions. He is very sporty.

MynameisWa · 11/11/2021 15:35

@pastypirate I think the emphasis on Nike is because sports direct do a cheaper version! We fell into this trap. The trainers are still £65 but apparently they are not the type they are all hankering after (which are from Nike and more expensive)

Foldedsheets · 11/11/2021 15:37

Mine has asked for a ship in a bottle and an alarm clock, not sure what that says about her Grin

Does she like Lego? They do an amazing ship in the bottle. 2 presents in one Grin
thefamous5 · 11/11/2021 15:44

I think that's really quite sweet!
