I don't know if I'm in awe or outraged Grin

I’ve just had to google mechanical keyboard- good job my dd doesn’t want one because she may well have ended up with an electric organ Grin

Redlorryyellowlorryblue · 12/11/2021 18:59

@Granjeanne

Why? Just why? Misses the point

ddl1 · 12/11/2021 19:01

Reminds me a bit of Christmas in one of the Nigel Molesworth books, where Nigel's litte brother cries because he has not got 'the reel Rolls Royce" that he asked for!

foxlover47 · 12/11/2021 19:04

He has very lovely writing :)

Wheresmywoolyjumpers · 12/11/2021 19:05

well, if you don't ask, you don't get! Guess he is coming up for an important lesson in being realistic! It is very cute though.

WTAFhappened123 · 12/11/2021 19:07

I’d red pen the spelling mistakes and advise that the request has been rejected

AtiaoftheJulii · 12/11/2021 19:07

Now my 23 yr old is giving me hers!

I read my 23 year old this list, and she told me she would like Play Doh for Christmas. "A set, with the rollers and cutters and accoutrements."

Notmoresugar · 12/11/2021 19:07

He'll go far 😆
(lovely writing too)

Cuethatcumber · 12/11/2021 19:11

Aw, at least he's polite with it, my 11 year old is asking for money to buy an ipad, specifically for 1 single app on apple that she cannot download on her android phone or tablet, because I said I'm not getting her one she's planning to buy her own.. Que sera... my 4 Yr old only wants a Yoyo, 'nothing else in the big wide world mummy just an iron man yoyo' were his words... And my 2 Yr old... Well.. Everything on the kids channel adverts.. So far to get Xmas shopping started.. I'm struggling to find an iron man yoyo..

SoupDragon · 12/11/2021 19:16

@ShirleyPhallus

I like that he’s written “Nike airmax (trainers) (from Nike)” just in case you’re so old that you have no idea what Nike is
To be fair, it pays to be specific, just to make sure. DD once made the mistake of asking for "Air Force 1". I knew what she wanted, her brothers knew what she wanted... she got a model of the US president's plane.

@Granjeanne

He/she really needs a dictionary!
Just, why? Do you really get kicks out of posting comments like this? It’s plain nasty.
Inexpertjuggler · 12/11/2021 19:20

Love this! I like how it covers all bases ( just in case there’s a slight chance)
I remember DD2 presenting us with her list ‘ there’s only 5 things on there’ she said smiling. THEN we found out each of her dolls and each build a bear had also written a list ( clothes/ accessories/ sports car/ horse & carriage, etc etc etc)

pompei8309 · 12/11/2021 19:20

Apart from the chain bit , I would be very happy if mine would give me this list 👍

Anele22 · 12/11/2021 19:20

I love your child!

LtGreggs · 12/11/2021 19:24

My DS2 had an excellent list when he was about 6. It was:
Pasta & pesto
School socks

His dreams came true.

This year he asked for Oculus Quest. I bought it (secretly). He told me last night that he now does not want an Oculus Quest as he might only use it once and so it could be a waste of money. Instead he would like (to the same value) 30 boxes of Lindor truffles.

Notaordinarygirl · 12/11/2021 19:28

Awwwww op that's really sweet. I would be in awe. You can clearly see the transitioning phase he is currently going through. Give him a massive hug 🐨

I'm still lolling about the little nephew rocking about in his white gloves while the twin brother squares up on the snooker table Grin

That's fab! Good handwriting too Smile

Tilltheend99 · 12/11/2021 19:45

Bless. I can remember basically circling every item in the Argos catalog. Christmas lists are more like a fun fantasy really.

It does make me slightly sad that such young children now feel they need branded stuff to show off how expensive their outfits are. Hopefully they will realise that there is more to life as they grow up.

SnozPoz · 12/11/2021 20:04

This is brilliant. Giving a very exact list of what would be acceptable... going high in the hope of say getting one more affordable item from the list, which might still be more than you'd normally be willing to spend. Genius.

UtopiaMist · 12/11/2021 20:04

I always used to ask for a pony although I knew it was impossible. Christmas lists should be seen as a wish list rather than an order.

catinboots123 · 12/11/2021 20:10

@puppylife

Love this! My 7 year olds this year is a laptop, AirPods AND yellow headphones, tic-tacs and 40pence 🤷🏻‍♀️
