I'm home alone today and except for whatsapping my friends have nothing to do with this incandescent rage and hopeless sadness.

Anyone else need to talk? Sad

Reading the Telegraph live updates I think the judge is going to give a whole-life tariff

danni0509 · 30/09/2021 12:08

I think he’s going to give him a whole life order reading the live court comments.

Bagelsandbrie · 30/09/2021 12:08

Whole life order. And so it should be.

Primrosejoy · 30/09/2021 12:08

Whole life sentence. Good

danni0509 · 30/09/2021 12:09

Timtam. 100% agree. Cross posted with you.

Good.

Justice as much as it can be given.

RIP SARAH Flowers. This has made me cry.

IfImLyingImDying · 30/09/2021 12:10

Thank goodness.

Claudethecat · 30/09/2021 12:10

He is "shaking and crying". Boo fucking hoo.

Swingsandroundabouts123 · 30/09/2021 12:10

I’m not sure if anyone has said this… but why do they keep referring to him as an ‘ex police officer’ in the media? If he was a headteacher when he committed the abduction rape and murder they wouldn’t say ‘ex’??!!

jillandhersprite · 30/09/2021 12:10

yes - whole life

Porcupineintherough · 30/09/2021 12:10

There is precious little that is good about any of this but this is good news. How could it be anything less?

LowbrowVictoriana · 30/09/2021 12:10

Punching the air here!

Thank god!

Clarice99 · 30/09/2021 12:10

@nosafeguardingadults

Travesty treating her life like more important than the several women murdered every week.
I don't think anyone on here would deny that many women are murdered each week and how tragic all of those deaths are; however, Sarah's case is different in that she was falsely arrested by a serving police officer and murdered by a serving police officer. This makes women feel more vulnerable than ever.
IfImLyingImDying · 30/09/2021 12:11

But it’s not enough.

The real proof will be in what the Met do next and how they are also held to account.

goodbyestranger · 30/09/2021 12:11

Appropriate. The police factor appears to have been decisive. This isn't about other women being less important.

Id hope he'd have lost his job by now, no?
LakieLady · 30/09/2021 12:11

Thank fuck for that.

Flowers for Sarah.

Now will Dick resign or just come out with the usual platitudes?

LoislovesStewie · 30/09/2021 12:11

Thank you, Judge. I hope it gives some comfort to the family who have been so dignified.

MarshaBradyo · 30/09/2021 12:11

Thank goodness
