Reading the Telegraph live updates I think the judge is going to give a whole-life tariff

I think he’s going to give him a whole life order reading the live court comments.

I’m not sure if anyone has said this… but why do they keep referring to him as an ‘ex police officer’ in the media? If he was a headteacher when he committed the abduction rape and murder they wouldn’t say ‘ex’??!!

Travesty treating her life like more important than the several women murdered every week.

I don't think anyone on here would deny that many women are murdered each week and how tragic all of those deaths are; however, Sarah's case is different in that she was falsely arrested by a serving police officer and murdered by a serving police officer. This makes women feel more vulnerable than ever.

But it’s not enough.

The real proof will be in what the Met do next and how they are also held to account.

Appropriate. The police factor appears to have been decisive. This isn't about other women being less important.
