There was a show on BBC a good few years ago now called “undercover princes” where they took I think 3 princes from places like Africa and they were searching for love. It was absolutely hilarious. I do check i-player for it every now and then but alas I don’t think it will come back.

Reloxa · 12/09/2021 11:57

How do you want me with Dylan Moran - very funny, no idea why it never gets repeated.

Give us a break. 1983 show that started my lifelong crush on Paul McGann. Though I just found it on YouTube and it is seriously dated, and Robert Lindsay's cockney accent is atrocious.

MsIreneWinters · 12/09/2021 12:09

Loads of those mentioned.

I'd love to be able to watch the original series of 24 for the first time again. It was so fraught and exciting- and in those days you had to wait a week for each episode so the tension really mounted!

@sadsack987 oh I missed it , I will have to keep a eye open for it coming back round .

I rewatched all of the buffy series right at the start of the first lock down , I liked Spike the 1st time round but my goodness when I rewached it PHEW . . . . he's a handsome fella. I also love his wit which passed me by the first time

StormyLovesOdd · 12/09/2021 12:24

I wish I could watch Breaking Bad again for the first time. I know it's still on all the streaming platforms BUT it's not the same now I know the ending

rugbychick1 · 12/09/2021 12:33

Yes to Midnight Caller and The Waltons.
Spooks is on the iPlayer
Up I have all The Flying Doctors series on DVD. Still have a DVD player, but have I found the DVD's since we moved 8 (yes, 8!) years ago? I think they're up in the loft. Asked DP to look for them, but he can't see them. Possibly a man look. I daren't go in the loft. Dodgy ladder and bad knees. I want to watch them again

2catsandhappy · 12/09/2021 12:41

The Magician. Starred Bill Bixby.

AlCalavicci · 12/09/2021 12:44

I have thought of a few more ;

Brush strokes with Karl Howman

Boon with Michael Elphick , I had the theme tune to the show ( high ho silver ) as my ring tone for ages . Such a shame Michael died when he was only in his mid 50s.

Someone help me , I can not remember the name of the show with Joe McGann and Honer Blackman where he played a house keeper , it ran in the late 80s I think.

I also really liked Bread , but I rewatched about a year ago and while it is still good , its not as funny as I recall but I still have a crush on Joey

TheSpiral · 12/09/2021 12:52

the show with Joe McGann and Honer Blackman where he played a house keeper - The Upper Hand
Survivors-bbc remake from about 10 years ago - I don't so much want to watch this again as to know what was going to happen! The series ended on a cliffhanger with some of the survivors heading off to some kind of island where they were going to find out more...

I would like to wipe my brain every time I finish watching Battlestar Galactica so I can watch it again without knowing who is a Cylon.

And in terms of series I would like to see again, The Adventure Game and Box of Delights although I am sure the magical-for-the-time CGI has aged appallingly.

TheSpiral · 12/09/2021 12:53

I'm probably using CGI wrongly there. Special effects I should say.

mum2jakie · 12/09/2021 12:53

Brush Strokes was repeated on Drama channel recently. I watched a few episodes and it hadn't aged well!

BringMeTea · 12/09/2021 13:12

A cartoon called Dolly Pond! It is nowhere to be found. So funny. Trials and tribulations of a thirty something woman.

BringMeTea · 12/09/2021 13:13

Pond Life

Did one actor - Warren? Suddenly die in real life?
EmergencyPoncho · 12/09/2021 13:25

@Pebbledashery

The Lost Honour of Christopher Jeffries, watched it in itv when it was on and it was a master piece of depiction.. I can't watch it again as I can't bloody find it anywhere you don't have to pay for it.
That's when I first realised how excellent an actor Jason Watkins is.
