Anyone looking for Midnight Caller or Chips can find both on Freeview channel 96. I'd love to watch the Grimleys again, Noddy Holder,Brian Conley, Amanda Holden. Never seen it repeated anywhere.

I'm going to suggest The Monocled Mutineer. Although I know that Ian bleasdale's interpretation of the life of Percy Toplis (who was not a good man) was glossed and romanticised it absolutely pointed me in the direction of socialism. I took history at gcse at the same time and we went to interview WW1 veterans in the community. The MM plus lots of reading including Wilford Owens poems gave me an insight into the horror and brutality. I was able at 14 to talk to these men with a little more insight and understanding and they were shocked at my knowledge but appreciative of my willingness to listen and learn. The MM shaped my life and I am very grateful for that. It's never been repeated as far as I recall and it provoked questions in parliament. I have it on DVD and it still affects me now after all these decades.

Ramona (my absolute favourite as a kid!)

honkytonkheroe · 12/09/2021 21:17

Dexter. We've watched all the seasons twice and I'm always jealous when people are watching it for the first time.

VienneseWhirligig · 12/09/2021 21:26

Pushing Daisies
Love & Marriage
Coming Home/Nancherrow
The Grimleys

Rollergirl1980 · 12/09/2021 21:53

@honkytonkheroe Dexter is coming back! It's called Dexter: New Blood and is set 10 years after the finale.
I want to rewatch the TV adaptation of Seesaw by Deborah Moggach. It was about the kidnap of a middle class girl and how it affected/blew up her family.

Brilliant news! My husband will also be very pleased. He hasn’t suggested watching it a third time yet but I don’t think it’ll be long! Grin I must say I liked the early seasons most though and didn’t want him ever to get found out! Seesaw also sounds good - exactly the sort of thing we like! Thank you.

There was a series called "Love Hurts" around 1991-1992 on BBC1, starring Adam Faith and Zoe Wannamaker. She was worked as a high flying City banker and he was a cockney self made wheeler dealer entrepreneur type. They fell in love despite their differences, it was so cute but I have never, ever seen it anywhere since.

Knittingnanny · 13/09/2021 18:01

@VienneseWhirligig was Love and Marriage a 1980’s /early 90’s documentary ? I recall watching a series which followed a variety married couples and showed their lives in quite a lot of detail. Never been able to find out anything about it on google though
