Eyesofdisarray, oh, how could I have forgotten Angels: led to my choice of career!

@bellabride

Breaking Bad Life On Mars and Ashes to Ashes Upstairs Downstairs Love, Nina
Upstairs Downstairs is being repeated one episode every Sunday in the Talking Pictures channel.

I've been recording it, it's my quiet hour to myself every week to enjoy it properly. It's up to the First World War now so not many more episodes to go sadly...

AlCalavicci · 11/09/2021 19:31

@TheHouseIsOnFire , Quantum leap sires one is on Amazon prime for about £20 for the full series of around 20 episodes.
I cant believe no one has said Only Fools And Horses yet , I wish I could watch the whole lot again .
Also
New Tricks
Hussle
To the Manor Born ( though that is on radio 4 extra at the minuet , with the original cast )
The early series of the Bill and Casualty before they tried to make them more like soaps

The 1970's Survivors is on Britbox, DP and I have been watching it. I remember it from when it was first on as a kid and it really scared me. I'm another 70s child whose parents let me watch anything.

I also got the DVD of another late 70s show called the Omega Factor, there was only one series. It was about a government intelligence department who look into mind control and the supernatural. It held up really well and was still pretty creepy in places. Mary Whitehouse hated it and tried to ban it Smile

woodhill · 11/09/2021 19:36

Our friends in the North

Fantastic journey with Roddy McDowell

AlCalavicci · 11/09/2021 19:37

@thesnailandthewhale , ooh yes Midnight caller , I had a proper crush on Jack Killian Blush

astrowars · 11/09/2021 19:41

This life
loved it at the time, now I'm older I suspect I wouldn't love it as much!

tigger1001 · 11/09/2021 19:42

@Ultraopaque

I'd like to see Rhentaghost but I suspect the film quality would be poor. Grin

And I continually watch Downtown on Prime. The plot gets more and creaky the more you watch it, but I love the costumes and decor Smile

And I once saw a play on BBC2 years and years ago. It was about an elderly husband visiting his wife in hospital. I know he took great care to being her the things she liked. I can barely remember any detail except for the fact that it was one of the most wonderful pieces of drama I had ever watched; profound, touching and funny. Can't remember the name of it though!

I came on to say rentaghost! I loved that as a kid
lots33 · 11/09/2021 19:45

This life is on BritBox

Flip side of Dominic Hyde (I think)

Penmaric

70s Dr Who

I love The Flipside of Dominic Hyde. I have it (and the sequel) on dvd. At 40 or so years old, it's very creaky to watch now, but a brilliant time travel story.
StorminaBcup · 11/09/2021 19:52

The Vice
This Life (although not the crap reunion episode)
X-Files

StorminaBcup · 11/09/2021 19:53

woodhill · 11/09/2021 19:53

Hedgesfullofbirds · 11/09/2021 19:56

From my childhood in the '70's

'Kizzy'

'Lizzie Dripping'

TheRebelle · 11/09/2021 19:56

Bob and Margaret, I even emailed Channel 4 but they don’t have the rights anymore so can’t show it and I can’t find a DVD anywhere either.

AliceMck · 11/09/2021 19:56

Moonlighting
Midnight caller
Lost city of gold
The worst witch, the old series

TheRebelle · 11/09/2021 20:00

@redfairy

The Grimleys. It was a sitcom about a family from Dudley. I loved Brian Conley in it as the bullying PE teacher.
I loved this! With Amanda Holden as Miss Titley 🤣

Yes I remember it as one of the few children's programmes that genuinely was funny as opposed to all of the ones that tried too hard. Grin

I also would like to see Carrie"s War again which I really enjoyed as a child, as well as Flambards. Both of them quite interesting dramas.

GeorgieFlame · 11/09/2021 20:02

@lilmishap

Meat - a Screen1(?) one off drama, it had an unknown Johnny Lee Miller AND John Simm in it!

Peep Show

Misfits

Omigod. I loved Meat
youngestisapsycho · 11/09/2021 20:03

@CaptainCallisto

There was a BBC (I think) costume drama called Berkeley Square that I loved in the 90's, and one called A Respectable Trade. I'd love to see both of them again!
I was gonna say Berkeley Square. I really enjoyed that. There was also a BBC series called Servants that I liked too.
woodhill · 11/09/2021 20:04

Middlemarch with Rosamund Pike
Life on Mars for the first time
Sapphire & Steel - but I bet it would be shite 😂
Lupin for the first time. I’ve just finished series 2 and loved it
Come Back Lucy, and be 9 years old. It was a BBC drama for children that electrified us.

SolitaryTree · 11/09/2021 20:13

I used to love bad girls when I was younger but not sure I’d like it as much now… although I think I would!
From more recent times I’d like to watch derek, the OA, feel good, motherland, Atypical, years and years, humans.

I’ve watched ALLOT of tv since the first lockdown Blush
