Yes was going to suggest free trial, when you go to cancel they will offer you a three month deal, like £15 or something
And there is a lot to watch as well[/quote]
I used to have Now. But between that and all the other free things hardly watched it. There's probably some "new" stuff to watch now! Mind you, even £15 is unaffordable atm.

I think it was in a very short series - maybe two parts - but a BBC programme called Half Broken Things. Based on a book that I also love

CatsForLife · 11/09/2021 18:19

Yes to Survivors! Mine is Quincey’s Quest with Tommy Steele. It’s a Christmas thing.

Brookside
I loved Damien and Barry Grant 💕💕

MumofSpud · 11/09/2021 18:28

@Twitchynose

Think it was a drama on BBC2 called Mother Love, twenty odd years ago. Can’t remember the full plot now but was basically a controlling/abusive mother and mistreated adult daughter. I missed the last episode, and never did find out what happened when she was locked inside the old bomb shelter at the end of the penultimate episode! Not that I recall enough of the plot for the answer to make any sense now, so I need to watch the whole thing again.
This was fab - but I saw it recently again but I can't remember on which channel. Seriously chilling! The way Diana Rigg said Kitty Cat and Puss kins - psychopathically!
BeaucoupFish · 11/09/2021 18:29

I liked Tinhead - brookside

Toastytoads · 11/09/2021 18:29

Orphan black, amazing programme.

Geamhradh, I thought it was really good, loved it. Have rewatched one scene several times after on YouTube and it still gets me, definitely recommend it :-)

batmanladybird · 11/09/2021 18:36

Original holby city from circa 2002

freelions · 11/09/2021 18:36

@Twitchynose came on this thread to say Motherlove!

I was only a teenager at the time but was completely hooked. We missed the final episode and it was before our family owned a video recorder so I've never saw the end. I've thought about it a lot over the years and would love to watch the whole thing now.

Bluepinkyellowcakes · 11/09/2021 18:37

It was just the one standalone series I think. I'd definitely have watched if there had been another. Nicolas and Stellan were an electric pairing. I think I've just talked myself into watching the whole thing again 😂

Bluepinkyellowcakes · 11/09/2021 18:37

Oops, Nicola!

skodadoda · 11/09/2021 18:45

Lewis and Inspector Morse are regularly repeated on ITV3, (ch 10 Freeview).

Yes- I thought they were brilliant together. The thing is, each of them is fantastic in everything they do. Together, just dynamite!
Geamhradh · 11/09/2021 18:50

I'll add one, just one episode of Coronation Street. It was about 1994 and when Raquel discovered Des had been shagging Tanya.
The sheer raw distraught pain that Sarah Lancashire portrayed was outstanding.

That reminds me, adding Happy Valley as well.

From my teen years, I recently bought the DVDs of Mistral's Daughter and the Thorn Birds.
Both a bit rubbish in retrospect Grin

BirdyBee · 11/09/2021 18:50

Can I also add due South and heartbeat

CaptainCallisto · 11/09/2021 18:50

@MissyB1 the original Amanda Burton Silent Witness is all on iPlayer at the moment. I rewatched it over the summer.
