The cuckoo sister, citv adaptation of he book in the late 80s. Would also love to watch a made for tv film - never never land with Petula Clark. Don’t think it ever did particularly well but we loved it as children

ChequerBoard · 11/09/2021 20:26

@LightDrizzle

Tenko here too Middlemarch with Rosamund Pike Life on Mars for the first time Sapphire & Steel - but I bet it would be shite 😂 Lupin for the first time. I’ve just finished series 2 and loved it Come Back Lucy, and be 9 years old. It was a BBC drama for children that electrified us.

Arghh not Come Back Lucy! I had nightmares for years after watching that show! I loved it but it was not good for me at all.

I was banned from watching after the link between it, the nightmares and the sleepwalking were figured out!

Sapphire &: steel was on London live, I really enjoyed it

Six Feet Under. Watched it recently and its such a great show, you get so invested in all the characters! Finale was also amazingly done.

ViciousJackdaw · 11/09/2021 20:27

Beside the She Devil, I'd love to see a series called 'Making Out' again.

BonnesVacances · 11/09/2021 20:34

I'd like to watch some of the 80s and 90s programmes that sadly haven't aged well, but I loved so much at the time. Programmes like Moonlighting and This Life that I used to arrange my life around. I was also thinking about Dallas today too and how Who Shot JR? gripped the nation.

Yes!! Used to love this - vinegar tits and freaky Ferguson.

maddiemookins16mum · 11/09/2021 20:49

@Brakebackcyclebot

Tenko - I loved it in my teens. Maybe it would be terribly dated now though
We got the Box set a few years ago, it’s as good as it was 40 years ago.
Pootle40 · 11/09/2021 20:54

I remember watching 'Life Without George' with my mum in the late 80s and then ' Band of Gold' in the 90s. My mum passed away a few years ago so I reminisce about watching the shows at home together

FrenchyQ · 11/09/2021 21:14

Thank you to whoever said Heartbreak high is on Netflix...I had no idea.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 11/09/2021 21:19

I'm going to have to find Heartbreak High on Netflix. Thanks for the tip!

My So-Called Life.

Pootle40 · 11/09/2021 21:19

Also Hearts and Bones.......Damian Lewis, Dervla Kirwan

BertieBotts · 11/09/2021 21:32

There was this BBC short series called "What if..." in about the early 00s I think. It was a bit like Black Mirror in that it took a scenario and played out "What if this happened?" It was so well done and really scary!

I would love to watch Fringe and Orphan Black again from the beginning no spoilers.

UrghSchool · 11/09/2021 21:37

@FionnulaTheCooler

There is a reboot I think it started on Friday on c4 with Mo Gilligan and some other woman

Knittingnanny · 11/09/2021 21:37

@redfairy the grimleys! Ioved that programme! Bet it would seem really cringy now though
I really would love to watch The Forsyth Saga again, I remember it vividly from the 70’s

Samanabanana · 11/09/2021 21:41

El Dorado

InglouriousBasterd · 11/09/2021 22:12

I’d love to watch House of Eliot with DD, it was just so good when I was her age.

Idbemonica1 · 11/09/2021 22:16

Yes to Blakes 7, what an ending! Also the bbc 2 or 3 parter called The Passion with Gina Mckee, never repeated to my knowledge

Motherofalittledragon · 11/09/2021 22:22
